As a seasoned Fortnite player with countless hours under my belt, I can confidently say that the Storm Shield Defence missions are some of the most challenging and rewarding experiences in this game. From Plankerton to Twine Peaks, these quests demand strategy, teamwork, and a keen eye for tactical positioning.
If you’re looking for ways to accumulate additional V-Bucks without directly purchasing them, I recommend taking on some Fortnite V-Buck missions within the Save the World (STW) game mode.
From my perspective as a die-hard film fan, I’m thrilled to share that, just like certain characters in my favorite movies who earn bonus points for completing missions, I can rack up extra V-Bucks by completing diverse tasks in Save the World mode.
Storm Shield Defence missions, daily quests and other challenges can reward Founders with V-Bucks.

Fortnite V-Buck missions list in STW
In Fortnite’s “Save the World” mode, as a Founder, you have the opportunity to gather V-Bucks by completing missions in areas such as Stonewood, Plankerton, Canny Valley, and Twine Peaks.
V-Bucks can be earned by completing Storm Shield Defence missions, daily quests and other challenges. You can check up in-game for the current list of missions/quests that award V-Bucks.

In addition to the main quest line for Save the World, you can also generate V-Bucks if you’re a Founder, and by successfully completing the Storm Shield Defense missions.
The main quest line is split between four areas – Stonewood, Plankerton, Canny Valley and Twine Peaks. Each area contains six Storm Shield Defence missions, earning you 100 V-Bucks for each one you complete – 600 in total for each area.

Complete each of the four areas and you should unlock Side Quests, with four more Storm Shield Defence missions in each area. The 10th and final Storm Shield Defence mission in each area rewards you with 150 V-Bucks, rather than the standard 100.
As a Founder, you have the opportunity to accrue V-Bucks in additional Side Quests. This includes various Lok’s Book of Monsters missions, as well as reoccurring challenges like Mission Accomplished (finishing a specific number of missions), Hold the Door! (completing a specified number of Storm Shield Defenses), and Toxic Treasures (destroying a certain amount of Mimics).
