Forza Horizon 5 is Still Coming to PS5, Originally Planned for Summer 2024 – Rumor

As a longtime fan of the Forza series, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation about the potential release of Forza Horizon 5 on PlayStation 5. I remember the disappointment when rumors circulated last year only to be left unfulfilled. However, with eXtas1s’ latest insider information, it seems that the wait might finally be over.

This year, Microsoft has provided a good selection of first-party games, some of which were also released on other platforms such as Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush. Next year, this trend continues with the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in Spring, but it appears that Forza Horizon 5 from Playground Games is already prepared for PS5.

Word on the street back in August was that there might be a launch, but it didn’t happen. Insider sources claim that the highly-anticipated open-world racing game was supposedly moved to consoles and planned for release this summer. However, due to reasons yet undisclosed, the release got postponed, not cancelled. They don’t have a specific date for PS5, but they believe it’s still on its way.

According to an inside source, Microsoft views this game as one that could potentially be successful. With over 40 million players globally by July 2024, even if some play via Game Pass, it seems feasible. However, we’ll have to await formal updates for more precise information.

You can enjoy Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. Take a look at our review of the initial release version.

Forza Horizon 5 has a pre-made port coming to PS5, but its release this past summer was paused (not canceled). However, they consider it to be a game that will perform well, so it’s coming, though I’m not sure when, but it’s definitely coming.
