Forza Horizon 5 Races Onto PS5 This Spring

This year, Microsoft revealed that Forza Horizon 5 for PlayStation 5 will be released in the springtime. This latest edition promises an updated gaming experience, with additional downloadable content packs available for purchase separately. The port is being handled by Panic Button, working together with the main developer, Playground Games. Although a new trailer hasn’t been shared alongside this announcement, you can watch some older gameplay clips above.

On the Forza.net site, Playground Games announced their excitement about the growing Forza Horizon 5 community on PS5, looking forward to the fresh ideas and talents these fresh players, creators, builders, and racers will contribute to our lively community. Cross-platform play is set to be available among PS5, Xbox, and PC, and a new content update titled Horizon Realms is also expected for the PS5 version.

The blog post unveils that Realms provides an opportunity for gamers to delve into a handpicked assortment of beloved Evolving Worlds from the community’s past releases, as well as a few exciting additions.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to see that, unlike before, Xbox, PC-exclusive games are no longer exclusively Microsoft’s domain. Since then, we’ve learned that DOOM: The Dark Ages and The Outer Worlds 2 will debut on Sony’s platform simultaneously. Today’s announcement that Forza Horizon 5 is joining the ranks further solidifies Microsoft’s commitment to broadening its reach by porting more of its games across various consoles.
