According to the earlier announcement, the release date for Forza Horizon 5 is set for April 29th. This highly anticipated game is expected to perform optimally on the PlayStation 5 Pro, as Xbox Game Studios has committed to providing extensive support for Sony’s advanced gaming platform.
As stated in an article on the game’s official site, the open-world racing title will offer two graphic settings across all Sony gaming platforms – Performance Mode optimized for a smooth 60 frames per second (fps) and Quality Mode geared towards delivering high-quality graphics at 30fps.
If you’re using a PS5 Pro, you’ll notice an upgrade in graphics clarity in Performance Mode, as well as ray-traced mirror effects on vehicles in Quality Mode. Essentially, if you own this $700 console, you’ll get some significant enhancements to your gaming experience.
This development is especially advantageous for enthusiasts who are eagerly anticipating any of the additional Xbox games coming out, such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which are also due for release on PS5. This suggests that they’ll most likely perform optimally on the high-performance platform.
In the meantime, you can place pre-orders for Forza Horizon 5 on the PlayStation Store. However, at this point, we don’t have any updates about whether there will be a physical version available for PS5. We’ll reach out to Microsoft to confirm this information.
