It’s been a long time coming but Apple TV+’s Foundation season 3 finally has a release date.
The cherished science fiction series makes a comeback on your screens on the 11th of July and will be broadcast every week, culminating in its finale on the 12th of September.
Sharing some exciting news, the streamer has released a suspenseful preview for the upcoming third series. This new episode takes place 152 years following the events from season 2, hinting at an intense battle ahead, as the climactic ending of the previous season left us in shock.
Indeed, Lee Pace is making a comeback for the latest edition, albeit sporting a significantly changed appearance in the latest sneak peek. Alongside him, Jared Harris and Lou Llobell will reprise their roles, while we welcome Cherry Jones, Brandon P Bell, and Troy Kotsur to our new cast members.
The Foundation has grown significantly from its modest origins, whereas the once powerful Cleonic Dynasty’s Empire has weakened.
From the perspective of a passionate cinephile, I find myself drawn into an intriguing cosmic tale. Two dominant galactic forces have reluctantly joined hands in an uneasy alliance. Yet, a menacing figure looms on the horizon – a warlord infamously known as “The Mule.” This merciless despot aims to conquer the universe through brute force and military might, but his ambitions extend beyond that. He also seeks control over minds, a terrifying prospect that could shatter the balance of power in the cosmos. The fate of countless galaxies rests on the shoulders of our heroes as they brace themselves for an epic battle against this formidable adversary.
It’s hard to predict which characters will emerge victorious or suffer defeat, survive or perish, as Hari Seldon, Gaal Dornick, the Cleons, and Demerzel engage in a high-stakes cosmic game of chess with unpredictable outcomes.

According to Isaac Asimov’s famous novel, the epic tale of Foundation chronicles the decline of a vast Galactic Empire encompassing 25 million planets over time.
2021 sees the debut of this show on Apple TV+, where it tells the grand tale of mathematician Hari Seldon who devises a theory called “psychohistory” to forecast the collapse of the Galactic Empire. In an effort to safeguard knowledge and civilization, he assembles a group, known as the Foundation, to carry on after the fall.
I can hardly contain my excitement as I eagerly anticipate the return of the show, which will grace our screens nearly two years after the conclusion of season 2. It’s clear that fellow enthusiasts and I have been longing for more, and I’m confident that this upcoming season will not disappoint.
