Fourth Wing TV Show: Josh Heuston Responds to Xaden Casting Rumors

Are you ready to meet the wing leader?

In the ongoing TV series adaptation of the “Fourth Wing” fantasy novels by Amazon MGM Studios, Josh Heuston raised some eyebrows when queried about whether he’d be portraying the main character, Xaden Riorson.

At the premiere of The Last of Us season two and the Max Australia launch, the actor from Thor: Love and Thunder jokingly implied that one should consult the scribes about a matter. He also acknowledged that there have been whispers about him potentially playing either Xaden or his relative Bodhi.

So, how would Heuston feel about being called Xaden?

“Interesting,” he said, “yeah, that’s a great nickname.”

But does it suit him? As the 28-year-old put it, “Hopefully, who knows?”

Although specifics about “Fourth Wing” are being kept secret, book author Rebecca Yarros offered some passionate hints about what viewers can anticipate from the TV adaptation. This series revolves around dragon riders who attend the fictional Basgiath War College, where they train as part of the Fourth Wing within the Riders Quadrant.

Yarros expressed his thoughts during the Onyx Storm release party on January 20th, stating, “I’ve gone through two drafts of the script now, and wow!

She admitted that she was extremely anxious to read it because when you give someone your child and ask them to point out what’s significant, it feels as though you’re saying, “Everything in here matters so much!

However, she endorsed the makers, which encompassed Moira Walley-Beckett, Amazon MGM Studios, and Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society.

She kept kicking her legs throughout, expressing her enjoyment by saying, “I simply adore it!” Then, she commented on Moira’s work, stating, “Moira has done an incredible job in portraying each character’s voice, the dialogue that resonates with everyone, and the overall atmosphere and essence of the book.

Yet, there was one condition set for the character playing Xaden, who would be paired with the heroine Violet Sorrengail:

Last year, Yarros stated during a different Q&A session, “They are well aware of my firm opposition to the distortion of Xaden as ‘whitewashing.'” He emphasized that this is the most significant point.
