Frank Ferrer is leaving the jungle behind.

The veteran drummer who’s been part of Guns N’ Roses since 2006, has left the esteemed hard rock group. This departure, as the musicians themselves put it, was a friendly goodbye.

The band expressed gratitude towards Frank for his friendship, imagination, and strong influence throughout the last 19 years. They stated this in a Facebook post on March 19th, also wishing him luck as he embarks on a new phase of his musical career.

According to a statement, the announcement officially marked Ferrer’s departure from the band, but his last performance with them actually happened in November 2023 at a concert in Mexico. With almost two decades as their drummer, he became the longest-serving member behind the drums in the band’s 40-year tenure.

With Ferrer away, the band has brought onboard Isaac Carpenter to handle percussion tasks instead. Known for touring with artists such as Adam Lambert, Awolnation, and Black Lab, this new drummer is anticipated to join the group for their upcoming concert dates across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, starting in May.

The band acknowledged that the carpenter has earned recognition through a distinctive fusion of adaptability, rhythm, and intensity with sheer power and proficiency. This has solidified his status as a versatile drummer within the music industry,” according to a statement reported by the New York Post.

Presently, Guns N’ Roses has Axl Rose, the founding member who established the band back in March 1985, and Slash, who joined not long after but left in 1996 due to disagreements with fellow band members. However, he rejoined the group in 2016 following a reconciliation with Axl, expressing his joy that they were able to overcome their issues.
