Frasier Season 2 Premiere Date Revealed

As a dedicated fan of classic sitcoms and a long-time admirer of Kelsey Grammer’s brilliant portrayal of Dr. Frasier Crane, I couldn’t be more thrilled to hear that Paramount+ has announced the return of the Emmy-nominated revival of “Frasier” for its sophomore season!

The tossed salads and scrambled eggs are making a comeback once more. Paramount+ has declared that the Emmy-nominated Frasier revival, featuring Kelsey Grammer in the lead role, is set to debut its second season with a double premiere on September 19th. Subsequent episodes will be accessible every Thursday exclusively on Paramount+. Additionally, they unveiled the artwork (pictured below) for Frasier’s upcoming second season.

In the second season of Frasier, Dr. Frasier Crane, played by Kelsey Grammer, goes back to his radio past at Seattle’s KACL station for a special reunion episode. Notable guest stars from the original Frasier series are expected to return to their roles. These include Dan Butler as the boorish sports show host Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe, Edward Hibbert as the pretentious food critic Gil Chesterton, and Harriet Sansom Harris as Frasier’s cunning and mischievous agent Bebe Glazer.

“I’m thrilled to pieces that Dan Butler and Edward Hibbert are coming back to Frasier, and I can’t wait to collaborate with them once more,” expressed Grammer, the show’s star and producer, during the announcement.

As an avid fan, I’m thrilled to share that Peri Gilpin, who brought Roz Doyle back to life in the season finale, will be gracing us with her presence once again as a recurring guest star for the upcoming season 2. Moreover, other esteemed guest stars joining the cast include Patricia Heaton from “Everybody Loves Raymond,” Yvette Nicole Brown of “Community,” Rachel Bloom starring in “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” Greer Grammer known for “Awkward,” and Amy Sedaris, currently shining in “Star Wars: The Mandalorian.” Lastly, the legendary James Burrows, co-creator of “Cheers” and a longtime director of the original “Frasier,” is returning to direct our revamped series after helming the first two episodes.

In the first season, Frasier went back to Boston to strengthen his bond with his grown-up son, Freddy, following Martin’s passing. The show introduces Jack Cutmore-Scott as Freddy, who became a firefighter instead of finishing his studies at Harvard. Nicholas Lyndhurst portrays Alan, Frasier’s longtime friend transformed into a university professor. Toks Olagundoye plays Olivia, Alan’s coworker and the head of psychology department at the university. Jess Salgueiro is Eve, Freddy’s flatmate, while Anders Keith takes on the role of David, Frasier’s anxious nephew, born to Niles and Daphne.

After being recognized with three Primetime Emmy nominations – for exceptional production design in a half-hour narrative show, impressive cinematography for a half-hour multi-camera series, and superior picture editing for a comedy series with multiple cameras – Frasier’s release date has now been officially announced.

Ten new episodes of “Frasier” (2023) Season 1 are currently streaming on Paramount+. You can give it a try for free right here.
