The trailer alone is a testament to the transformative power of sports and travel, as it takes us on a journey through the eyes of these young cricket enthusiasts from Preston.
Freddie Flintoff is back on TV for the second season of Field of Dreams, where he intends to embark on a tour with the cricket team he founded in his home city of Preston. However, things nearly fell through.
In the recently started series filmed from 2022, Flintoff aimed to lead his established team to face competition in cricket-loving India, one of the highly respected cricket nations globally.
In a fresh BBC trailer, Freddie proposes to a cluster of amazed youngsters that he’ll be taking them on a tour. Their expressions – a blend of surprise and exhilaration – are unforgettable as he discloses his plan to bring them to India.
Before switching to a video clip featuring him, Flintoff’s voice is heard explaining that he aimed to encourage the boys to step outside of their familiar surroundings.
“But something happened that’s changed my life forever.”
Throughout the trailer, the boys can be seen exploring a new culture as Flintoff’s speaks.
He mentions that each of us will discover something new about ourselves, and he’s no exception. This is quite unlike anything they have faced before.
“I’m curious about how they’ll seize these chances, I can only wish and hope that each of the boys does so eagerly.”
In December 2022, an accident occurred at the Top Gear test track located at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, which involved Andrew Flintoff. This incident resulted in him sustaining facial and rib injuries.
After the unfortunate accident on the field, I was swiftly helicoptered to the hospital. At that moment, they classified my injuries as not immediately life-threatening.
“Corey told the Mail Online that it was quite a severe accident. Everyone’s stunned by it, but we’re all simply praying for his wellbeing.”
Ever since the announcement, the BBC has decided to take a break from the Top Gear format for an extended period.
