As a fervent admirer of Freddie Flintoff and his indomitable spirit, I eagerly anticipate his upcoming Disney Plus documentary detailing his harrowing near-fatal crash while filming Top Gear. His unwavering resilience and determination to return to our screens after such a traumatic event are truly inspiring.
Reports indicate that Freddie Flintoff is slated to feature in a forthcoming Disney Plus documentary, where he will share details about his close call during the filming of Top Gear, when he suffered a nearly fatal accident.
In December 2022, Flintoff’s accident occurred during filming at the Top Gear test track, which is located at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey.
They transported him to the hospital via helicopter, and the filming of the show temporarily halted. Later in November 2023, they announced that the show would no longer be on-air for an undetermined period. (or)
Presently, it’s been announced that Andy Flintoff will delve deeply into the details of the accident for an upcoming Disney Plus documentary. This documentary is slated to be produced by South Shore and helmed by director John Dower.
I’m reporting this information based on details found in production schedules for a full-length program. These details are further corroborated by listings publicly available.
Previously this year, Field of Dreams, the cricket show hosted by Flintoff, made its comeback on television following a break after the accident, with a brand-new season.
On the show, he remarked about the crash: “I believed I could brush it off, I wished to brush it off and declare, ‘Here I am, I’m fine,’ but unfortunately, it’s proven to be more challenging than anticipated. Despite my desire to get out and accomplish tasks, I just haven’t been capable.
Meanwhile, it was confirmed recently that Flintoff will be presenting a new reboot of darts-themed TV show Bullseye, which will air a Christmas special this year on ITV.
Upon hearing about the upcoming reboot, I found myself reminiscing about my childhood favorite show, Bullseye. As a kid, it was one of my favorites! To think that I’d be hosting this year’s Christmas special is still hard for me to believe. There’s just nothing quite like Bully, and I can’t wait to get started!
You can sign up to Disney Plus for £4.99 a month or £79.90 a year now.
