On Thursday, April 3rd, 2025 at 5am, Sony will be sending out emails to verify that your existing PlayStation Plus subscription has been automatically extended by five days.
Last month, we noticed alterations in our account, and now, the company is reaching out to all its subscribers to verify that the due compensation has been given.
The hand motion indicates that there was an outage on the PlayStation Network earlier this year, causing both the PS5 and PS4 networks to be down for nearly a full day.
“We appreciate your patience during the recent PSN outage,” the message reads.
To express our gratitude, we’ve added an extra five days to your PlayStation Plus subscription without requiring any action from you. Enjoy the games!
“Thanks for being a valued PS Plus member.”
As an enthusiastic gamer, I’m delighted to share that Sony is now extending compensations due to the prolonged outage on PSN, a span that stretched nearly 24 hours.
The firm assured that they will compensate for the disrupted service by giving extra, complimentary service days to all active PS Plus members. These extra days will be automatically credited to the accounts of all qualified subscribers.
Not only have we verified that your latest PS Plus Premium payment has been processed, but we’ve also added an extra five days to its validity. It is being updated as we speak.
You can verify it on your own by locating your receipt in your email inbox, and then matching the shown expiration date with your current membership details.
To check if you’ve got an extension, navigate to the PlayStation Store, log in, click on your profile icon, choose ‘Subscriptions Management’, and examine your next payment date. If it’s five days beyond what was stated on your latest receipt, that means you’ve received your extension.
It appears that most people have received their compensation already, but keep in mind it might take a bit longer for everyone. If you haven’t received it yet, please be patient and try checking again tomorrow.
