Bandai Namco’s “Freedom Wars Remastered” debuts today on PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch as an enhanced adaptation of the 2014 PlayStation Vita role-playing game. The launch trailer has been released, showcasing its futuristic setting and fast-paced action. Take a look at it below.
In a grim, dystopian Earth, traditional nations have been replaced by all-seeing Panopticons, where a large portion of the population is imprisoned. The main character is given a million-year sentence for the “crime” of mere existence and must embark on various missions to combat Abductors and hostile Panopticons, aiming to lessen this punishment.
In essence, Freedom Wars Remastered retains its original gameplay and visual style, but now offers enhanced features such as support for 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, a challenging new difficulty level, user-friendly advancement options, and combat refinements. For instance, movement is swifter, you can interrupt attacks using Thorns, control remapping is available, and canceling attacks with Thorns is an option too.
