As a die-hard horror fan who’s lived through countless sleepless nights thanks to these iconic franchises, I can barely contain my excitement! IllFonic is giving us the power to bring our favorite horror series to life in the gaming world? Sign me up!
Have you ever dreamt about turning a chilling horror series into a video game? Well, here’s your chance, as IllFonic is ready to bring this idea to life for one particular series! But here’s the twist: You get to have a say (or at least assist) in the decision-making process.
This year has been fantastic for horror movie enthusiasts, with blockbusters like “Longlegs”, “Alien: Romulus”, and “Terrifier 3” dominating both the box office and audiences’ hearts. It’s not uncommon for different forms of entertainment to overlap, often seen in game-to-film adaptations such as “Resident Evil” or “Silent Hill”. But going from film to game is less common and riskier. However, multiplayer games appear to be a natural fit if the success of “Dead by Daylight” is any indication.
IllFonic, known for creating games such as “Predator: Hunting Grounds” and “Friday the 13th,” have rapidly become a recognized name in horror gaming. Through their multiplayer titles, players can experience the thrill of being Scream Queens and Kings alongside friends, minus the real-life peril.
Are you a fan of horror stories with an unusual balance? We’re eager for your insights!

Via the active Google survey accessible here, you can log in and choose from among 13 different franchises that you’d prefer IllFonic to develop next. You can find all the options illustrated in the image above or listed here: [Link]
- A Nightmare on Elm Street
- Child’s Play
- Terrifier
- Dracula
- The Thing
- Happy Death Day
- Final Destination
- Halloween
- Paranormal Activity
- Scream
- Creature From the Black Lagoon
- Saw
- Evil Dead
It’s interesting to note that there are a few modern IPs up for the picking, as well as classics like Dracula and Halloween. The most notable series are Terrifier and Happy Death Day, as these have released in the 2010s. Still, many can easily been seen as multiplayer titles that would be a hit with fans. Personally, a Final Destination or Saw game would be super cool to see done, given their freakishly deadly premises. Plus, given the success of Lethal Company and Phasmophobia, IPs like Paranormal Activity and A Nightmare on Elm Street seem like perfect fits.

Furthermore, they inquire whether there’s additional content available for IPs that have previously been investigated. IllFonic has a variety of titles under their belt, as well as those developed by other companies. You can find these options listed below.
- Friday The 13th
- Predator
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre
- Killer Klowns From Outer Space
- Evil Dead
- Video Horror Society
- Puppet Master
- Alien
- Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed
As a gamer, I’m intrigued but can’t say for sure what the upcoming content is all about. It could be a free DLC, paid DLC, or even a sequel. Interestingly, one option seems to be “Friday the 13th,” a title that’s had its fair share of challenges due to copyright issues. You might remember how these troubles halted new content in the original game, leading to the shutdown of servers only three years after its launch and its removal from digital stores as of 2023. However, for those who yearn to see this IP revived, as well as other fan-favorite franchises like Alien with “Alien: Isolation” and Predator with “Predator: Hunting Grounds,” there’s a glimmer of hope!
