Frieza’s WILDEST Fights EVER! You Won’t Believe #1!

Among the highlights of Akira Toriyama’s work, the antagonists in Dragon Ball stand out. It’s challenging to make these villains appear intimidating to Goku and the other potent characters in the series, but they pull it off remarkably well. In fact, many fans find the villains just as captivating as the main characters. This enduring popularity is evident in the numerous Dragon Ball video games where these antagonists continue to be beloved figures.

Among the iconic antagonists in Dragon Ball, Frieza stands out as a formidable and recurring adversary for the heroes. Not only has he caused trouble repeatedly, even after being killed multiple times, but he also serves as one of Dragon Ball’s main villains. The upcoming clash with Black Frieza promises to be one of Dragon Ball Super’s most epic battles. In the interim, it’s worth revisiting some of Frieza’s most thrilling showdowns before the big fight.

Dragon Ball Super, Chapter 87, “The Universe’s Strongest Appears”

After Frieza was brought back to life following his cooperation in the Tournament of Power, he’s been like a time bomb waiting to explode. The Granolah the Survivor Saga in the manga ends with Frieza making a shocking return, and he lets everyone know that his time away hasn’t been idle. He unveils a new form called Black Frieza, which was developed through a decade of intense training in a space reminiscent of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Not even the combined strength of True Ultra Instinct Goku, Ultra Ego Vegeta, and Full Power Granolah can defeat him. However, with just one punch, Black Frieza manages to kill Gas.

I personally witness Black Frieza mercilessly crushing Gas’s skull, vaporizing the remnants, and with equal precision eliminating Elec of Heeter Force. This brief display of power from Frieza leaves a lasting impression, foreshadowing the intensity that lies ahead. Never before has Frieza appeared so menacing, and his ability to simultaneously incapacitate Ultra Ego Vegeta and True Ultra Instinct Goku underscores the assistance our heroes will require when they face off against Black Frieza in battle.

Dragon Ball Super, Episode 108, “Frieza And Frost! A Mutual Malevolence?”

In the thrilling world of Dragon Ball Super, I can’t help but feel the electrifying tension surrounding Frieza’s involvement in the Tournament of Power. Some members of Team Universe 7 harbor a lingering mistrust towards Frieza, and it reaches a boiling point when he directs his attacks at Gohan. Interestingly, Frieza had once rescued Gohan from a fighter hailing from Universe 2, Jimizu, yet he later expressed his displeasure over Gohan’s supposed skill decline.

In an unexpected twist, Frieza manages to tap into Frost’s shady nature, and for a moment, it seems like their shared animosity towards Saiyans has ignited an unlikely alliance between these two seemingly antagonistic fighters.

Frieza chooses to assist Frost in mastering his 100% Full Power form, hoping it will enable him to surpass his boundaries and attain his own Golden form. However, Frost’s excitement is dampened when Frieza promptly defeats him and chides him for being too trusting of the enemy. The battle is engaging, serving as a striking depiction of Frieza’s self-centered nature, constantly prioritizing himself over others.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’

In Dragon Ball Super, they strive to create a rematch between Frieza and both Goku and Vegeta that rivals their original clash with Frieza on Namek. This battle serves as an enlightening experience for all parties involved. The Super Saiyan Blue transformations of Goku and Vegeta prove effective against Frieza’s new form, but initially, Golden Frieza seems to have the upper hand against Goku. However, it becomes clear that Frieza hastily unveiled this new power without learning how to master it properly. As a result, Frieza exhausts and weakens himself, allowing Goku to turn the tide against him.

In a momentary pause from his suffering, Frieza finds relief as Sorbet subdues Goku. At that instant, Vegeta steps forward, showing no mercy or compassion towards Frieza. Unable to land a single hit on Vegeta, the encounter serves as a cathartic release for the Saiyan, allowing him to vent his accumulated anger. This fight holds several unexpected twists, one of which is Frieza’s clever ploy that results in Earth’s explosion. Although Frieza is eventually vanquished and destroyed by the Saiyans, this battle rejuvenates his desire for revenge. This marks the beginning of several retaliation attempts by Frieza in the series Dragon Ball Super.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly

In Dragon Ball Super, great care is taken when deciding which aspects from Broly’s non-canonical past in Dragon Ball Z are incorporated into the series and which are revamped. A fascinating prospect that arises in Dragon Ball Super is the encounter between Broly and Frieza, a meeting that extends beyond simple introduction. In this narrative, Frieza not only interacts with Broly but also manipulates both Broly and his father, all while playing a significant role in shaping the Saiyan’s life. Enraged by these events, Frieza cold-bloodedly slays Paragus – Broly’s father – in front of him. This heartless act is intended to trigger a powerful Super Saiyan transformation. True to his desire, Frieza witnesses Broly’s transformation into the fearsome Legendary Super Saiyan.

In contrast, Broly opts to vent his anger on Frieza instead, while Goku and Vegeta momentarily divert their focus towards perfecting their fusion techniques. Essentially, this battle reduces to Broly mercilessly pounding down on Frieza, even after he transforms into Golden Frieza. It’s a highly satisfying spectacle for those who have long hoped to see Broly brought to his knees decisively. In Dragon Ball Super, it is shown that Goku and Vegeta’s fusion practice takes an hour, leaving Frieza defenseless against Broly’s relentless assault for 60 minutes. This fight is one that Frieza won’t soon forget, and it could serve as motivation for him to humiliate Broly in his Black Frieza form.

Dragon Ball Super, Episodes 125 & 126, “A Commanding Presence! The Advent Of Top The Destroyer!” & “Surpass Even A God! Vegeta’s Sacrifice Strike!”

In the fierce battles of the Tournament of Power, one standout clash involves Frieza trying to establish superiority over a certain opponent. Interestingly, this situation offers an unusual collaboration between Frieza and Android 17, which is quite rare in the world of Dragon Ball. During this confrontation, Frieza steps up to help Android 17 and boasts that his True Golden Frieza form is equally threatening as Toppo’s Destroyer form as a God of Destruction.

Frieza’s power might be impressive, but it pales in comparison to the Gods of Destruction like Toppo. Toppo effortlessly nullifies Frieza’s Super Death Ball and then engages in intense physical combat that leaves Frieza severely humbled. However, Toppo refrains from killing Frieza because doing so would disqualify him. Android 17 saves Frieza from elimination just in time, allowing Vegeta to finally defeat Toppo for good. This moment is terrifying for Frieza as he shows genuine fear. If Frieza had been defeated here, it could have potentially prevented Universe 7 from winning in the end.

Dragon Ball Z, Episode 83, “Another Transformation?”

It’s thrilling to watch Gohan, Krilin, Piccolo, and Vegeta unite against Frieza, doing everything they can to endure until Goku recovers and joins their fight. Piccolo momentarily overpowers Frieza’s second form, which gives Gohan a chance to assist his mentor and demonstrate the real power of Saiyans. Piccolo’s suffering stirs up great courage in Gohan, who fearlessly fires energy attacks at Frieza’s Third Form.

In a remarkable turn of events, Gohan doesn’t merely rescue Piccolo and halt Frieza; instead, the prodigious power emanating from this young boy compels Frieza to metamorphose into his ultimate form. This brief skirmish, though it may be short, is significant. Gohan continues to offer crucial assistance against Frieza’s final form, a feat that’s all the more impressive given his youth.

Dragon Ball Super, Episode 124, “A Storm-And-Stress Assault! Gohan’s Last Stand!”

In my excitement, I can’t help but express how fitting it is for Universe 11’s Pride Troopers to embody the noble heroism that represents their universe in the Tournament of Power. It seems Frieza derives an extra thrill from overpowering these warriors and demonstrating his superiority yet again. His movements become so swift that not even the Zeno twins can keep up! Dyspo may be quick, but his strategies are foreseeable. Regardless, this unpredictability brings Frieza ever closer to the arena’s edge. Surprisingly, it’s Gohan who steps in to aid Frieza of all individuals!

Gohan isn’t happy to assist Frieza, given their past history. Frieza, in the same vein, finds it hard to rely on Gohan as a team leader. However, they both set aside their pride and strategize to weaken and defeat Dyspo. Frieza uses ki blasts to confine Dyspo’s movements, while Gohan delivers the final blow. The battle ends with Gohan and Dyspo being eliminated, but Gohan feels satisfied for helping take down Dyspo and supporting Frieza. This sacrifice isn’t missed by Frieza.

Dragon Ball Z, Episodes 81 & 82, “Déjà Vu” & “Frieza’s Second Transformation”

In the world of Dragon Ball, Piccolo is a significant character, but it can be challenging for him to keep pace with Goku’s ever-growing strength and numerous transformations as a Saiyan. However, Piccolo receives a considerable power upsurge when he fuses with the powerful Namekian warrior, Nail, on the planet Namek. Revitalized, he even manages to take the lead after shedding his weighted attire.

It’s comforting to witness Piccolo reversing the situation, but Frieza boasts that this is merely a tiny part of his power. The increase in Piccolo’s strength triggers another metamorphosis by Frieza. Frieza’s terrifying new form not only equals Piccolo’s power, but it almost costs him his life. This leaves the heroes in a nerve-wracking predicament as Piccolo switches from being their main hope for survival to becoming a burden.

Dragon Ball Super, Episode 131, “A Miraculous Conclusion! Farewell Goku! Until We Meet Again!”

In the Tournament of Power, Frieza’s involvement results in some bizarre scenes, such as Frieza aiding Goku by adding energy to his signature Spirit Bomb. As the tournament reaches its climax, both Frieza and Goku muster all their strength for one last, massive effort. With Android 17 supporting them, they combine their power to unleash a colossal attack that overpowers Jiren’s defenses, offering Universe 7 another chance to strike. In an act of heroism, Frieza and Goku team up against Jiren, forcing him out of bounds while sacrificing themselves in the process.

In this thrilling turn of events, Android 17, to my amazement, has withstood past assaults, paving the way for Universe 7’s triumph. Yet, it’s the clash between Goku and Frieza that steals the show! This victory underscores the sheer strength of our universe across the multiverse. But what makes this success truly remarkable is the unity shown by champions like Goku and adversaries such as Frieza, momentarily setting aside their differences for a common goal. This unlikely alliance might be a one-time occurrence, making the impending confrontation against Black Frieza all the more tantalizing.

Debut: Dragon Ball Z, Episodes 87-105

The anime series Dragon Ball Z boasts numerous intense battles, but among them, the confrontation between Goku and Frieza on Namek stands out as a defining moment for the franchise. This fight showcases Frieza at his best, but more importantly, it’s one of Goku’s most memorable performances, earning its status as an iconic scene in anime history. Despite being the longest battle in the series, this encounter has both pros and cons; while there are instances of filler that disrupt the flow, the suspense remains palpable throughout. Each trick that Frieza and Goku employ against each other keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.

Goku vividly displays his martial arts mastery in this encounter, as he pushes the Kaio-Ken Attack to its extreme, imaginatively employs ki blasts, and effortlessly transforms into Super Saiyan. It’s quite appropriate that Frieza unwittingly seals his fate here when dismembered by his own attack. Interestingly, Goku shows compassion towards Frieza by sharing some of his energy with him before accepting that he’s beyond redemption. This confrontation significantly marks the origin of a fierce rivalry between Frieza and the Saiyans.
