As a seasoned gamer with decades of strategy gameplay under my belt, I must say that the latest additions to Microsoft’s Game Pass Ultimate and PC lineup have me absolutely thrilled! The sequel to Frostpunk, one of my all-time favorites, on September 20, followed by Ara: History Untold, a tantalizing turn-based 4X strategy game, on the 24th – it’s like Christmas came early this year!
In the latter part of September, Microsoft is revealing more games joining both Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC collections. If you’re keen on strategy games, there are several new ones coming your way as a subscriber!
First off, we have “Frostpunk 2” coming out, scheduled for PC release on September 20th. This game will also be accessible through Game Pass on the same day of its launch. Following closely is the post-apocalyptic city builder sequel from 11 bit studios, which goes by the name “Ara: History Untold”. This turn-based 4X strategy game is set to release as a day and date Game Pass title on September 24th.
First, the games “Robotality” and “Wargroove 2,” developed by Robotality and Chucklefish respectively, are set to release earlier on Game Pass before any other titles. This strategy title, “Wargroove 2,” was launched last year, will be available for consoles, cloud, and PC on September 17th.
The latest level for Game Pass, called Xbox Game Pass Standard, has just been introduced with a monthly fee of $14.99. It’s important to note that, as previously communicated, this tier does not include day-one or simultaneous releases.
