Approximately several months following the last significant update for 11 bit studios’ “Frostpunk 2”, the developer has revealed a new roadmap. The upcoming major content update is set to launch on May 8th and will modify the City’s management system, taking inspiration from the order initially implemented by the first New Londoners.
Additionally, it was verified that the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions will hit the market this summer. The initial paid DLC, titled “Spectrum,” will be available in autumn, offering insights not only about ourselves but also about our city’s inhabitants in various aspects. This year will also see the release of the second paid DLC, “Aurora.” Lastly, the third DLC, as of now unnamed, is scheduled for release next year.
Beyond the update on May 8th, it appears there are more enhancements coming this Spring as well. On April 24th, we’re celebrating the seven-year milestone since the initial game release.
Keep an eye out for further updates in the upcoming months regarding “Frostpunk 2”. This game has been available on PC since its launch and has already sold over half a million copies. While it’s generally well-received by critics, scoring nine out of ten from us in our review, it has faced criticism from fans due to performance problems and noticeable differences in core gameplay compared to the original version.
