‘Full House’ Star SHOCKS Bob Saget With Fan Encounter!

Back in the day, I was absolutely hooked on a sitcom that was so well-loved it simply refused to fade away. This classic show, titled “Full House,” started airing back in 1987 and continued until 1995, spanning an impressive eight seasons. The popularity of this show was so immense that it gave birth to a spinoff, named “Fuller House.” This offshoot ran for an additional five seasons, bringing back most of the original cast members, including Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber. Today, these two ladies are hosting a rewatch podcast called “How Rude, Tanneritos!” where they reminisce about their time on the show.

In the hit TV series “Full House”, Sweetin portrayed Stephanie Tanner, the middle daughter, while Barber took on the role of Kimmy Gibbler, the pesky neighbor who was close friends with D.J. Tanner, played by Candace Cameron Bure. Although some might contend that the younger cast members, particularly Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as Michelle, were the show’s main attractions along with their siblings, it was really the trio of John Stamos, Dave Coulier, and the late Bob Saget who steered the show. At the age of 65.

During a recent podcast, Barber discussed how Kimmy Gibbler’s fame overshadowed Danny Tanner’s recognition due to her being more well-known.

Barber: “She Recognized Me”

On Fridays, we’d have our family dinners off campus and often head to CityWalk or Jerry’s, as Barber explained. One of those times, Bob offered to drive us, so he was going to take me back for the show. We were waiting for the valet to bring his car when a fan approached me and asked something like, “Hey, are you Kimmy from Full House? Could I get your autograph?” or what have you. It was before the selfie era, she added.

Barber went on to explain, “Then she simply replied, ‘Thanks,’ and left without speaking to Bob.” At that moment, as a young child, she felt exhilarated. “I quickly turned to him and exclaimed, ‘She didn’t recognize you, but she recognized me!'” he was so proud at the realization. He seemed almost relieved, saying, “Yes, she didn’t recognize me.” It gave him a sense of satisfaction, she admitted.

It appeared as though Sweetin found it hard to comprehend that the fan had overlooked Bob Saget. “How on earth could you have missed him?” she said, “He’s six-foot-two, and he’s hardly a quiet or stealthy person.

Is Another Full House Sequel Possible?

Last month, during their podcast discussion, both actresses indicated openness to a potential third series if offered. Barber hinted at the possibility of reprising her role as Kimmy Gibbler, stating she might not rule it out completely. Sweetin also expressed readiness to play Stephanie again and proposed an idea for a revival series set in the future.

She mentioned a desire to reprise their roles in another 15 years or so for a mature adult sitcom, making it seem like they’ve moved on with their lives.
