In a new twist, Gwen Stacy, who once donned the role of Spider-Man, is now ready to make her mark on various superheroes. The new Funko collection is inspired by the 2022 comic book series “Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse” written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Jodi Nishijima (available on Amazon). This series allows Gwen Stacy to delve into the powers of different heroes within a multiverse narrative. In this Funko collection, Gwen assumes the roles of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Wolverine. Personally, I find Iron Gwen’s design particularly captivating, with a striking yellow faceplate and her long blonde hair cascading beneath the helmet. The entire line looks impressive. Spider-Gwen is officially in the Main Marvel Universe
It appears that after traversing numerous universes, Gwen Stacy, more notably known as Spider-Ghost now, has settled down in Universe 616 permanently. Writer Stephanie Phillips recently spoke with Comicbook about the reasons behind Gwen’s move to Earth-616, as depicted in the upcoming comic series “Spider-Gwen: The Ghost Spider.
In the upcoming storyline of this arc, you’ll find some genuine answers about Gwen’s move, but we’ve been dropping hints since the very beginning, starting with issue 1. Phillips adds that the solution might be more surprising than anticipated, as no one has guessed it so far. When Marvel suggested relocating Gwen to Earth-616, this was the idea I eagerly proposed for the series, and I’m thrilled everyone supported it.
