Funko Releases The First Ever Dexter Pops

It seems that Funko has been keeping a secret for nearly 20 years, but now it’s time to reveal something exciting! Instead of speculating, let me share with you the news: Funko is releasing Pop figures based on the classic Showtime TV series, Dexter. This development might be due to the new spinoff series, Dexter: Original Sin, and the upcoming revival, Dexter: Resurrection. While we can’t wait to see what else Funko has planned, for now, the focus will be on characters like Dexter and Debbie Morgan, as well as a unique, exclusive Funko Pop figure of Bloody Dexter in his murder-themed attire.

Starting today, March 19th at 12pm Eastern Time, you can pre-order the standard Debbie and Dexter Funko Pops on Entertainment Earth’s website and also on Amazon. In the future, you’ll be able to get the exclusive Bloody Dexter at Funko. Lastly, don’t forget to explore all of this week’s new Funko Pop releases here!

Dexter: Resurrection

Originally, the “Dexter” series ran for eight seasons on Showtime from 2006 to 2013, achieving tremendous success. Regrettably, its finale was widely panned as one of the worst in TV history. In an attempt to revisit their successful serial killer protagonist, Showtime released “Dexter: New Blood” in 2021, but once again, fans were left unsatisfied with the ending and the series as a whole, which had received generally favorable reviews until the final episode caused controversy. More recently, “Dexter: Original Sin” concluded its first season. This prequel tale focuses on a young Dexter 15 years prior to the start of the original show. Interestingly, there’s also news about another spin-off titled “Dexter: Early Cuts,” which is said to delve into the early life of Dexter before he became a serial killer, providing insights into his motivations and development.

Michael C. Hall’s character Dexter will rise from the dead for the new sequel series, titled “Dexter: Resurrection”, which follows after “Dexter: New Blood”. The storyline details are scarce at present, but fans can hope that this third installment will deliver a satisfying conclusion. Anticipate the debut of “Dexter: Resurrection” on Showtime this summer.
