Futurama Showrunner Teases Season 12's New Episodes

As a longtime fan of Futurama, I am beyond thrilled that our beloved animated series is making its grand return with not one, but two new seasons! The anticipation builds as we gear up for the premiere of Season 12, exclusively on Hulu. Having grown up watching this innovative and witty show, it holds a special place in my heart. The recent announcement from showrunner David X. Cohen about some upcoming episodes has only added fuel to the excitement.

Later this month, “Futurama” is set to make its comeback on screens once again, and one of the creators behind the scenes has teased some of the most intriguing episodes from the upcoming Season 12. After exclusively premiering on Hulu for a second time, “Futurama” is back with new seasons, out of which two were initially commissioned for this fresh take on the beloved animated series. With numerous changes in store, fans are eagerly anticipating what innovative plots and stories may unfold in the upcoming Summer episodes.

In an interview with Animation Magazine prior to the premiere of the new season, Futurama’s showrunner and head writer David X. Cohen shared some exciting tidbits about the upcoming episodes. He previewed a few notable installments, such as delving deeper into Bender’s Mexican roots, a guest appearance from Danny Trejo, an apparent homage to Netflix’s Squid Game for Fry’s birthday, and many more surprises in store during Season 12, which begins later this month.

Futurama Season 12 Release Date

“According to Cohen, the new season begins explosively with large-scale episodes. In the first episode, Bender goes back to his roots in his Mexican robot hometown for an emotional reunion. Danny Trejo makes a humorous appearance as Doblando, Bender’s cousin. The second episode, titled ‘Quid’s Game,’ is packed with excitement as an astonishing 34 Futurama characters attend a bizarre retake of Fry’s eighth birthday party. However, instead of ordinary games, this time the stakes are higher – they’re deadly.”

As a longtime fan of “Futurama,” I’m thrilled to my core that we won’t have to wait much longer to see our favorite intergalactic crew in action again! I still remember the joy and excitement I felt when Hulu announced the revival of this brilliant sci-fi series last year. And now, with Season 12 set to premiere on July 29th, my anticipation is reaching new heights.
