Fuuraiki 5 second trailer; heroines, sub characters, and more tourist spots detailed

Nippon Ichi Software recently unveiled the second promotional video, along with fresh details and images, for the travel-themed game titled “Fuuraiki 5.” This reveal showcases the game’s three main heroines, supplementary characters, and additional tourist destinations.

Get the details below.

■ What is Fuuraiki 5?

In the “Fuuraiki” series, a thrilling adventure game, players navigate their motorcycles through actual scenery captured in photos and videos of various landscapes. The newest installment, “Fuuraiki 5”, portrays the main character’s voyage across Mie Prefecture.

The main character is a travel journalist, who journeys to Mie Prefecture to take part in the “MieCom” – short for “Miketsukuni Eikou Competition.” This is a contest for journalists writing about Mie Prefecture, within the media industry.

During the span of a full month, contributors will journey to different spots throughout Mie Prefecture, collecting data on-site, and drafting pieces highlighting their attractions to be submitted for publication in MieCom.

■ The Three Heroines You Will Meet on Your Journey

Title “Fuuraiki 5” presents the tale of three leading ladies traversing Mie Prefecture, mirroring the main character’s voyage. As the story unfolds through multiple interactions, you might find yourself connecting with these women, enriching your own journey in Mie Prefecture with their company and experiences. The protagonist’s meetings with these ladies are certain to bring a touch of radiance to his adventure across Mie Prefecture.

Akane Shikama (voiced by Yuri Fujimoto)

A female writer from a different publication, who was also part of the MieCom event, had the chance to meet the main character during the competition’s introductory session. This warm and sincere lady welcomed and motivated the anxious protagonist.

In relation to the contest, her chosen approach involves composing an article centered on the historical figure, Kuki Yoshitaka (a notable warlord during the Sengoku period). To enrich her work with authentic details, she is traversing various locations significant in Kuki Yoshitaka’s life, collecting valuable information along the way.

Yuzuki Sonohara (voiced by Chisato Mori)

A lively and sociable lady, she has a tendency to make quick judgments and initially comes across as overpowering to the main character upon their initial encounter, due to her assumption of him being flirtatious. However, her genuine warmth and amiability make it somehow challenging not to develop a liking for her.

Her pastime involves photography, particularly seeking out stunning landscapes and lesser-known treasures within Mie Prefecture to immortalize its captivating vistas.

Aika Tabuchi (voiced by Ayaka Fujimoto)

A tranquil woman, whose father heads a prominent business empire, accustomed to luxurious treatment and usually accompanied by a security detail. Intrigued by the protagonist’s writings, she ventured to Mie Prefecture.

Because she’s always been in a high-responsibility role, she hasn’t had the chance to just have fun without restrictions. During her visit to Mie Prefecture, therefore, she plans to relax and enjoy herself, particularly focusing on exploring leisurely areas where she can maximize her fun.

■ Encountering the Heroines

By paying close attention to each heroine’s unique goal, and by visiting places that might appeal to them on days when they’re most likely to be present, you could potentially encounter them.

In certain stories, it’s possible for the heroines to extend invitations to you personally. If you agree, remember to show up at the designated spot to keep your word and meet them.

Your Mie Prefecture love story will unfold through repeated encounters with these heroines.

—A flag symbol marks spots where an activity takes place. Keep in mind that many of these activities have time constraints, so don’t pass up the opportunity to check them out if you spot a flag symbol.

—The heroines could also engage with articles the protagonist pens. On occasion, you might be able to anticipate your upcoming interaction due to their feedback…

The story of Fuuraiki 5 will branch out depending on the protagonist’s choices and actions.

Alternatively, you could experience a spontaneous interaction with characters as if by happenstance during your journeys, or immerse yourself in a tale centered around your unexpected meetings and romantic escapades with the heroines, leaving work behind.

—Creating a ton of fun memories with the heroines is also part of your travel story.

■ Sub Characters

Reiko Atsumi (voiced by Mao Yabuki)

Aika Tabuchi’s bodyguard. She is always by Aika’s side to protect her.

Kagerou Kuroba (voiced by Takaki Harumi)

A novice street entertainer is where our story’s main character serendipitously comes across a performance. It’s there that they initiate an exchange. (This version preserves the original’s rhythm while using simpler language to make it more accessible.)

Naoyuki Takeuchi (voiced by Toshinari Kamiyanagi)

At the restaurant he manages, it’s the chef who takes pride in his role. Family and culinary skills are his top priorities, frequently extending a meal invitation to the main character.

Youko Himari (voiced by Mai Mochizuki)

A woman who labels herself as a casual globetrotter, yet exudes an air of intelligence, is notably relaxed and boasts a distinctive style of conversation.
