G Gundam, Code Geass Director Unveils New Anime (Releasing Sooner Than You Think)

As an ardent anime fan, I can’t help but sing praises for the legendary Goro Taniguichi! This man has truly left his mark in the anime industry, and rightly so. He’s not just a director, he’s a mastermind behind iconic series like Mobile Fighter G Gundam and Code Geass. But his contributions don’t stop there – he’s also played pivotal roles in creating some of my favorite shows, such as One Piece, Ghost in The Shell, Haikyu, Space Dandy, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and countless others. And here’s what gets me most excited – the G Gundam director is back in action with Enter The Garden anime anthology series, a project he’s involved in as it unfolds!

Last year saw the debut of “Enter The Garden” with its initial episode titled “The Waiting Man“, which revolved around a young skater character named Haru encountering an enigmatic figure called T.K. Although this anime anthology may not share many similarities with popular series like Code Geass and Gundam, it’s evident that Taniguichi skillfully incorporated the knowledge gained from these projects into this show. Produced by Azuki and Dentsu, the second episode boasts a number of well-known figures beyond Goro.

Fractured Reflections’ Full Creative Stable

In the upcoming episode of the “Enter The Garden” collection, famed director Yukio Takatsu, recognized for his work on shows like “Naruto Shippuden,” “Monogatari,” “Lupin The Third,” and “Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie,” will take the helm. For voice acting, Mie Sonozaki (known from “Naruto,” “Pokemon,” and “My Hero Academia”) and Takako Honda (“Fairy Tail,” “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners,” and “Naruto”) will lend their talents to portray the two leading sisters. Mark your calendars for February 27th on Anime.com, where you can watch the next installment of “Enter The Garden” on Thursday.

For individuals seeking to delve deeper into the second installment of this anime series, here’s Azuki’s take on “Fractured Reflections”: In this story, we follow the journey of two sisters, Shao and Raizan, who reside in the Alley, supporting one another to endure. However, tragedy strikes when Raizan disappears. Desperate to find her, Shao embarks on a quest, only to be met with failure for years. Then, wielding her sister’s sword, Shao discovers a mystifying torii gate and ventures into the enigmatic realm of the Garden. You can view the most recent trailer below.

What’s Up With G Gundam These Days?

Among the numerous anime projects that Goro Taniguichi has been involved with, it’s Mobile Fighter G Gundam that has been generating quite a buzz lately. A new sequel for the series has been announced, although it may not be getting an anime adaptation. Instead, we might see some fresh characters connected to the original leaders within the franchise taking center stage. Given the recent success of the Gundam franchise in reviving series like Gundam Seed, there’s a possibility that we could see G Gundam return to television screens in the future as well.
