Angel Studios recently teamed up with Rippasend to produce a Manga animated series titled “Gabriel and the Guardians“, which delves into Hebrew mythology for its narrative and setting. The project has surpassed initial expectations, as it has managed to raise over half a million dollars through enthusiastic fans who are eager to see this fictional work come to fruition.
In 2022, I founded Rippaverse Comics, stepping into the world of independent comic book publishing as a musician, YouTuber, and libertarian political commentator. Our mission is to stand apart from mainstream publishers by championing creative autonomy, preserving lore and continuity, and crafting tales that echo with the hearts of traditional comic book fans like mine.
In the Rippaverse universe, we encounter a variety of characters and tales. The initial comic book series, titled “Isom,” revolves around Avery Silman, who used to be a hero known as Isom in Florespark, Texas, when he was living in the city. After leaving his heroic lifestyle behind, Avery is compelled to return to action due to a call from his sister, which triggers a chain of violent confrontations, causing him to question his future.
From its beginnings, Rippaverse Comics has grown its collection to encompass series like “Alphacore” and “Yaira”, with content from numerous artists, including the esteemed Chuck Dixson from DC (it’s worth mentioning that this artist’s studio showcases the entire Dixson run of Robin comics as a mural). The company prioritizes creator ownership and consumer-led narratives, setting itself apart from traditional publishers.
Currently, Angel Studios functions as a film and TV production and distribution company that utilizes an innovative crowd-funding approach. This method enables viewers to financially back and champion the projects they are keen on seeing materialize. The company is widely recognized for producing and distributing content that centers around faith, family, and inspiration. They have gained significant recognition for shows like “The Chosen” and “The Sound of Freedom”.
