In a matter of hours, developers Neople and publishers Nexon will officially unveil their hardcore RPG titled “The First Berserker: Khazan“. Set in the universe of Dungeon Fighter Online (DnF), this game follows the titular character (played by Ben Starr) on a quest for revenge, as he has been wrongly accused of treason. Similar to the popular soulslike genre, players will encounter powerful enemies at every turn and must strategize throughout their journey. However, there is currently a bug affecting progression that may cause some difficulties.
According to a post by Neople, the character Khazan in The First Berserker currently encounters a problem related to the Primeval Regression Orb. This in-game artifact is utilized to revert Khazan’s overall stats, allowing players to readjust them according to their requirements more frequently due to the game’s weapon scaling with specific stats, like most From Software games. However, using this item while wearing the Hero’s Weapon and Armor set does not produce the expected outcome.
The special armor and weapon set enhances all statistics by +5 when worn. However, if a player employs the Primeval Regression Orb while wearing this set, an error in determining the amount of Lacrima needed for leveling may arise. The level displayed on the Upgrade Stats menu may not align with the one shown on the Status menu, and some stats might drop below the minimum value of 10, which is problematic for each stat line. This issue can be particularly challenging for advanced players, as it could potentially halt their progress significantly. According to Neople, these are the circumstances under which this problem occurs:
- Step 1: Equip gear that upgrades stats.
- The Hero’s Weapon and Armor set (DELUXE EDITION bonus) applies to this case.
- Step 2. Use the Primeval Regression Orb item to reset stats.
- Step 3. Use Primeval Regression Orb item again after the reset.
In the image Neople has shared, the Upgrade Stats display for Khazan indicates that he is currently at Level 27. All other stats are set at 10 except for his proficiency, which stands at 12. Even though the stats have been reset, it requires more than 7,000 Lacrima to upgrade, an amount that seems unusually high considering the circumstances. Currently, the best solution for this glitch is to pause using the Primeval Regression Orb one after another. The developers are actively investigating the problem and assure us that they will fix it quickly.
On March 27th, The First Berserker: Khazan officially goes live on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, priced at $59.99.
