Regardless of tough competition during an extended phase of PS5 launches, Assassin’s Creed Shadows managed to win the contest decisively.

Ubisoft’s robust open-world title has undeniably struck a chord with many. Although some observers have pointed out the predictable structure of Shadows, a significant number of enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating this franchise’s foray into Japan – a setting that significantly enhances the game’s appeal.

Though Assassin’s Creed Shadows may not convince those who found Odyssey or Valhalla challenging, it remains one of the strongest installments in the series and possibly the best among open-world RPGs. This assessment is based on our 8/10 review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows for PS5.

The developer has assured additional assistance after the launch, making it plausible that Shadows will continually improve over time, particularly with the introduction of upcoming expansions.

Historically, March is typically a bustling month with numerous new releases, as publishers aim to release their works near the close of the financial year. This pattern held true for March 2025 as well.

Last month saw an array of diverse PS5 games launching, starting with the critically acclaimed cooperative game Split Fiction in the initial week. Shortly after followed Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, offering a unique gaming experience.

As a gamer in March, the word “variety” couldn’t have been more fitting. I mean, who would’ve thought I’d be exploring the vibrant world of Wanderstop one moment, grappling with WWE 2K25 the next, and then diving back into history with Age of Mythology: Retold? The month even threw in a post-apocalyptic adventure like Atomfall, some hardcore action in The First Berserker: Khazan, and even an anime fighter, Bleach: Rebirth of Souls. Talk about diversity!
