The dual protagonist setup in Hawaii was an unexpected yet delightful twist that kept me hooked, and the balance between serious and silly was expertly executed. The narrative may have felt a tad contrived at times, but the unpredictable twists and turns kept me guessing until the very end.
The expanded job system and turn-based combat depth were welcome additions that added a layer of complexity to an already engaging gameplay experience. And let’s not forget about the myriad of activities outside of battle, such as restoring an island in an Animal Crossing-inspired minigame or collecting Sujimon for battles akin to Pokémon.
What truly sets Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth apart is its exceptional writing and memorable characters that make you want to spend countless hours immersed in the game world. This title showcases RGG Studio at its finest, and it’s about time they receive the recognition they deserve for their tireless efforts over the past two decades.

The gameplay is smooth and engaging, the storyline is captivating, and the graphics are nothing short of stunning. I can confidently say that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life, and I can’t wait to see what they do next with this incredible franchise.
In this installment, we find ourselves switching between two main characters: the ever-optimistic Ichiban Kasuga and longtime favorite Kazuma Kiryu, as they navigate through a fresh environment in Hawaii. The game skillfully balances moments of gravity with humor.
Although the story occasionally seems overly planned, it’s challenging not to become engrossed by its unexpected twists and turns, as one is constantly guessing about the unforeseen events that lie ahead.
In the enhanced job system, you can create characters inspired by professions such as surfers, gunfighters, or American football players (provided you’ve got the DLC). This means a richer, deeper experience in the tactical, turn-based battles compared to previous times.
As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the digital world of video games, I find myself utterly captivated by the endless possibilities they offer when not engaged in actual combat. One such game that recently caught my attention is a unique blend of simulation and role-playing elements, reminiscent of Animal Crossing and Pokémon. The game presents an opportunity to restore an island to its former glory, forge connections with fellow players online, collect and battle Sujimon, and lose oneself in its engaging universe for hundreds of hours on end.
