As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that 2024 has been a remarkable year for Virtual Reality gaming, especially on the PlayStation VR2. Among all the fantastic games released this year, I find myself utterly captivated by the immersive and thrilling experience offered by Metro Awakening.

Bronze Trophy: Trombone Champ: Unflattened

In a fusion reminiscent of the “John Wick” series, Vendetta Forever is a game centered on seamless action, and it certainly delivers. Adopting a first-person perspective, you’ll swiftly dispose of adversaries with a trigger flick, set against an aesthetically pleasing backdrop that injects diversity and intrigue into each stage. Your mobility is limited to teleporting to weapons held by enemies, thus the challenge lies not only in eliminating them but also figuring out your next move. The exhilaration of gameplay translates exceptionally well in VR, amplifying the overall experience.
Platinum Trophy: Metro Awakening
As a gamer, I must say that Vertigo Games truly demonstrated its expertise with Metro Awakening, the VR game that masterfully brings the grim and gritty ambiance of this beloved series to life in a virtual reality setting. From scorching away cobwebs with my lighter to clearing condensation off my gas mask visor, Metro Awakening hits all the right notes when it comes to immersion using the PSVR2, offering one of the most impressive experiences Sony’s headset has to offer.
