As a lifelong gamer and PlayStation enthusiast, I can confidently say that the most anticipated PS5 games of 2025 are nothing short of exhilarating! Having grown up with the likes of Grand Theft Auto and the Ghost series, I’ve always been drawn to open-world adventures that offer a rich tapestry of storytelling, immersive gameplay, and stunning visuals.

With the reveal of Grand Theft Auto 6, I can feel my heart racing with anticipation! Having waited years for this game, it’s safe to say that Rockstar Games has set the bar high for open-world gaming. The hype surrounding GTA 6 is palpable, and I’m eagerly awaiting every new detail that gets leaked or officially announced.

However, as much as I’m a fan of Rockstar’s grand opus, Ghost of Yotei has stolen my heart with its breathtaking visuals and the promise of an even more dynamic open world than what we saw in Tsushima. Sucker Punch has always been a studio that pushes the envelope, and I have no doubt that Yotei will be a game to remember.

In all honesty, it’s a tough call between these two titans, but if I had to pick just one, I’d go with Ghost of Yotei. As someone who cherishes immersive storytelling and engaging combat systems, Sucker Punch has my vote for delivering an unforgettable experience in 2025.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a true countdown without mentioning the other games on the list! Ghostwire: Tokyo, Ghost of Tsushima 2, and Horizon Forbidden West are all games that I can’t wait to get my hands on. But for now, I’ll just have to keep dreaming about the adventures that await me in Yotei.

Due to the extended intervals between its latest releases, it’s quite simple for one to overlook the fact that Mafia is an extensive franchise, consistently resonating with a broader, less hardcore audience. By returning to its origins in Italy, The Old Country might just become a massive success.

Instead of asking what we desire from a new Mafia game, let me clarify our expectations: Firstly, the narrative should be captivating and engaging, as the series has proven to deliver such experiences. Secondly, we hope that the gameplay doesn’t involve excessive open-world tasks like Mafia 3 did, allowing for a more focused and immersive experience in the original setting.
