Gamers Unite to Gift $2,000 Worth of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 to Strangers!

2025 has introduced numerous outstanding games thus far, but among them, one standout is undeniably Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – the eagerly anticipated sequel to the 2018 open-world RPG that immerses players in the role of an orphaned young adult amidst his quest for revenge and a blazing civil war in medieval Bohemia. It offers a remarkably well-balanced gaming experience, encompassing thrilling adventures, heart-wrenching loss, moments of levity, and RPG systems and mechanics that are among the most immersive I’ve ever experienced. Earlier this week, a group of its dedicated fans rallied together to offer others an opportunity to experience it without any financial investment.

Everything began when a post appeared on the r/KingdomCome subreddit, titled “In need of the game? Here’s some help coming your way.” The user u/verdantsf wrote that they wished to pass on the generosity a friend had extended to them during tough circumstances.

In the recent past, I found myself grappling with challenging circumstances. I was in an unfamiliar town, lacking a strong support system and facing financial constraints that left little room for leisure activities, including PC games. However, fortune favored me as I had a fellow gamer extend a helping hand. The ability to escape into different realms proved to be a significant relief for my stress levels and mental well-being. Fortunately, things have taken a turn for the better, and I now wish to reciprocate this kindness by extending a helping hand to others in similar situations.

Initially, u/verdantsf graciously purchased a $60 copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 for the first five commenters who responded. As the number of comments exceeded their expectations, they then went on to buy another five copies of the game.

As a fellow tech enthusiast, I can only share my heartfelt wish that diving into Henry’s universe brings you solace just as video games did for me in the past. It’s with great pleasure that I’ve distributed over 600 copies of King’s Bounty 2, worth $600, to help others experience this world too.

[KCD2] Can’t afford the game? I’ve got you. from r/kingdomcome

If you haven’t regained your faith in humanity just yet, there’s no need to fret; the good deeds didn’t stop with u/verdantsf. In fact, their generosity sparked a chain reaction of kindness as other strangers also bought the game for others. To join in on this act of generosity, u/Flando1 invited those who wanted to contribute by suggesting they “take a look down and pick a comment.

Shortly thereafter, an enthusiastic wave of gift-giving swept through the community, with 30 more individuals receiving copies for those who missed out on obtaining the game due to various circumstances. Notably, u/verdantsf updated their post following another round of five giveaways, disclosing that Warhorse Studios had acknowledged the generous actions and bestowed a KCD2 Collector’s Edition upon them along with additional copies for distribution.

If every extra person who gave a gift had bought one copy to give to another person (and perhaps they gave more, it’s hard to tell), the total amount of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that was shared through this act of kindness would have exceeded $2,000.

In my recent perusal of discussions, I’ve noticed an increasing number of community members stepping up to support their gaming peers during challenging times, just as u/verdantsf mentioned in their latest update. A big shout-out goes to the 30 of you who generously bought Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 for others! The power of collaboration truly brings dreams to life!

It was delightful to witness this flurry of gift-giving, as it’s not a common occurrence. I sincerely hope everyone who received a copy comes to adore KCD2 just as much as I do. In my opinion, it’s a remarkable achievement from Warhorse Studios, boasting “an unquestionable triumph” in the form of a vast open world brimming with over 100 hours of immersive content. The combat has been significantly upgraded compared to the first KCD, and there’s more to explore as well. It’s widely regarded as one of the finest RPGs ever created, and I have no doubt it will be a strong contender for Game of the Year in 2025.

The sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, titled “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2,” is currently available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC (through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG), as well as PS5. This game is widely recognized as one of the top Xbox games and PC games of the year, making it a must-play for RPG enthusiasts. If you’re in the market for a new game, especially an RPG, I highly recommend checking it out, and at just $47.39 on CDKeys, it’s quite a steal!
