However, since GameStop only shows a graded Giratina V from the Sword & Shield – Lost Origin expansion, it’s hard to predict its true value. Although the idea is interesting, it remains unclear how many Pokemon collectors will find this offer appealing.
For casual Pokemon enthusiasts, these Power Pack boxes might not be worth the investment. However, due to the skyrocketing demand for Pokemon cards from both devoted fans and resellers, these boxes could generate significant interest. Over the past few months, it has become commonplace to find empty retailer shelves, despite regular releases of new products. The Pokemon Company is finding it challenging to meet this heightened demand, even as they ramp up production on the cards. Given this situation, GameStop is releasing these Power Packs at an opportune moment, as Pokemon cards are currently highly sought-after. It’s likely that this will pique the curiosity of some collectors.
It’s important to understand that these Power Packs include genuine Pokemon cards, however, they aren’t an official release from The Pokemon Company itself. Essentially, GameStop has created these packs using officially licensed products. Therefore, if you want to purchase a Power Packs box, GameStop is the exclusive seller at the moment. As of now, these packs can only be bought in person at GameStop stores, as they are not available for online purchase via their official website.
Enthusiasts eagerly anticipating additional options for their TCG collection can now get excited about a fresh upcoming set, set to arrive in just a few brief weeks. The new release, titled “Pokemon Scarlet & Violet – Destined Rivals“, is the next major expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game and will be available starting May 30th. This latest installment will spotlight characters from Team Rocket, but also offers collectors a tantalizing glimpse of cards inspired by popular trainers from the Pokemon games and TV show, including Misty, Arven, and Cynthia.
