Gangs of London Star Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù Hints at Exciting Spin-Off Return!

Two and a half years have passed since Season 2 of “Gangs of London” premiered; now, we’re eagerly anticipating its third installment as Sope Dirisu himself expresses excitement about revisiting this captivating universe in the days to come.

Ever since the series premiered in 2020, discussions have arisen about potential sequels or side stories centered around one of the established characters, like Eliot (Dìrísù), a former undercover cop who later became a crime boss.

DIrishu expressed that, given the quality of the material, resisting the temptation to return in some other role, possibly even a spin-off, would be quite challenging for him.

In a statement about the team, he said, “It’s really cozy here. There’s a lot of love in the air. We’re quite tight-knit, and I truly enjoy being around each one of them. I prefer doing activities that bring joy to my heart.

The actor has expressed his backing for a spin-off following hints that the conclusion of season 3 had a “final series” feel, suggesting numerous fresh directions to delve into.

He mentioned earlier that it seemed more like the end of a whole series instead of just a season, and I agree because it seems full of potential for what could come next.

Instead of it being an absolute conclusion, it’s more like any number of things could unfold from here, leaving room for the audience to imagine their desired outcomes.

I believe it was a robust choice that paves the way for many subsequent decisions, and I’m excited to see where the creators will take things next.

In the third season, we find ourselves several months following the end of season 2, with Eliot now occupying a place among the powerful figures in the crime families’ inner circle.

Direius clarified that although Eliot may appear to have recovered physically from the incident, his situation within the organization remains uncertain and unstable, leaving him vulnerable with the potential for unexpected consequences.

In season 3, Eliot has made a partial recovery, as Diřisu put it, and fortunately, he retains full control of his body. We observe that Eliot has managed to establish himself more firmly in the place where we find him.

He’s become an integral part of London’s criminal underworld, yet his position is unstable, and he continues to work hard to earn respect.

He doesn’t automatically have people’s trust due to his arrival; instead, he must work hard to gain their respect and loyalty. Just when he believes he has established a solid base for himself, everything is suddenly taken away.
