Gears of War: Reloaded Beta Listing Appears on SteamDB

A beta for Microsoft’s “Gears of War: Reloaded” appears to be on the horizon, based on recent findings. Reddit users spotted a SteamDB listing that initially mentioned the game, but it has since been altered to “PenPL,” which might be an attempt to conceal it. However, the game’s name remains visible in the parent app section, and the EULAs section explicitly states a “Gears of War: Reloaded Beta EULA.” This suggests that the beta for this game could be approaching soon.

The download for this beta is estimated to be around 12.57 GB, with the complete installation needing approximately 15.42 GB. If accurate, the beta might serve as a pre-launch test of the multiplayer aspects of the game. Given that it incorporates all content from “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition,” “Reloaded” also offers support for 120 frames per second, cross-platform cooperative and competitive play, and cross-progression (which necessitates a Microsoft account).

The beta could potentially debut during the Xbox Games Showcase scheduled for June 8th, so keep an eye out for further updates. On August 26th, Gears of War: Reloaded will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, boasting 4K assets and textures, advanced post-processing and shadows, and additional features. It’s priced at $39.99, but those who already own the Ultimate Edition can upgrade without charge.
