As a dedicated fan of “The Boys” universe, I couldn’t be more thrilled to hear that production for the second season of “Gen V” is well underway! The confirmation from Amazon MGM Studios head Vernon Sanders that filming has been ongoing for several weeks now is music to my ears. The anticipation is palpable, especially after the heartbreaking loss of Chance Perdomo’s character in the first season.
The production of the second season for “Gen V” by Amazon MGM Studios has been underway for nearly two months now. Recently, there was a hint dropped by “Gen V” actor Jaz Sinclair, and Amazon MGM Studios head Vernon Sanders has since confirmed that filming for the new episodes is currently taking place.
“The second season of ‘The Boys’ in Gen V, which we’re currently producing, is shaping up to be quite impressive despite the challenges following Chance Perdomo’s departure. Fans of the show should look forward to it and stay tuned for potential future seasons. We aim to release it next year.”
Sanders additionally shared that the production company is open to creating more offshoots of “The Boys,” given that the primary series will conclude with its fifth and last season. Ultimately, the call for additional spinoffs lies with “The Boys” mastermind Eric Kripke.
Eric Kripke is the mastermind behind our successful five-season series. His innovative ideas and execution have made this possible. He’s expressed his belief that five seasons are enough, but we asked if he was certain it couldn’t continue. After careful consideration, he stayed true to his original vision for the show. If there’s more to explore in this universe, Kripke will be leading the way.
Among them, Gen V is the one who has received a clear directive so far. The Boys: Mexico is still in its initial phase of production with Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal set to produce it.
I’m thrilled that I can now watch the first season of “Gen V” on Prime Video, but I’m disappointed that the second season still doesn’t have a release date. On the bright side, starting from this week, all four seasons of “The Boys” will be available to stream in their entirety on Prime Video. The finale of Season Four is releasing soon, so I can’t wait to binge-watch the whole series!
