The rumours are confirmed – General Thragg is officially on his way in Invincible season 4!
Based on the end of season 3, it is officially announced that Thragg has been chosen for the role and will make his appearance in the upcoming season.
Furthermore, we can anticipate the introduction of a fresh narrative thread focusing on Detective Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown), a character whom fans were recently reacquainted with during the season 3 finale’s closing moments post-credits.
The official social media pages for the series have hinted at some details for season 4, indicating that it’s due to air in 2026. They also mentioned that voice recording has already been finished.
A fresh narrative, different from the comics, might involve Darkblood. It’s been announced that Thragg will play the role.
The post jokingly adds at the end: “Invincible has also been cast.”
Although the voice for Thragg hasn’t been officially announced yet, fans are speculating about potential choices such as Jon Bernthal from The Punisher and Ron Perlman from Hellboy.
In a recent conversation with Variety, creator Robert Kirkman expressed that the person in question is truly exceptional.
As a movie enthusiast, let me share my thoughts on the upcoming series: “It’d feel odd if Thragg were absent from the show, honestly. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but his inclusion seems crucial. Allow me to clarify: we have him cast, and he’s nothing short of brilliant.

In the comic series ‘Invincible’, Thragg stands out as the main adversary. He’s the mightiest member of the Viltrumite race and presently governs the Viltrum Empire. Fans have been eagerly anticipating his appearance, an event certain to be filled with intense action.
Previously, Season 3 has introduced a variety of well-known actors to the series, with much anticipation surrounding the debut of the antagonist Conquest, whose voice is provided by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Kirkman openly shared that he picked the actor primarily because of their shared past in “The Walking Dead” with Steven Yeun.

In a conversation with Variety, he stated, “I didn’t pause for thought because there was this layer of it being a rematch between Glenn and Negan, implying that Glenn would ultimately emerge victorious.
While it doesn’t detract from the episode in any way, I believe it adds depth and raises the tension for fans. In essence, it provides some well-deserved satisfaction for longtime Walking Dead viewers.
As for what Thragg has in store for us in season 4, only time will tell.
