George W. Bush’s Hilarious Inauguration Face Sends the Internet into a Frenzy

George W. Bush has grabbed the internet’s attention once again.

At the 2025 Presidential Inauguration, where Donald Trump took the oath as the 47th U.S. President, onlookers observed the 43rd President’s expressive demeanor throughout the January 20 event.

During his inauguration, former President Bush (serving from 2001 to 2009) momentarily shifted his gaze from one side to the other while attempting to suppress a mischievous smile, which ignited a flurry of amusing memes across various social media platforms.

One individual expressed, ‘I don’t care about other people’s opinions,’ they posted on X (previously known as Twitter). ‘I adore George Bush and the enthusiasm of a ten-year-old at a Christmas concert he embodies.'”

“A user stated on X (Twitter), ‘I don’t care about what others think.’ They expressed fondness for George Bush, reminiscent of the joy a 10-year-old at a Christmas concert exudes.

A different user made a jest, “He’s much like the child at the school performance who spots their parents and can’t help but wink and make funny faces.

One individual put forth an amusing hypothesis concerning the elderly gentleman’s facial expression, which was aimed at none other than the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who happened to be sitting right in front of Bush.

As a playful observer, I quipped that George W. Bush might have secretly placed a “funny cushion” on Hillary’s chair, and he seems to be eagerly anticipating her sitting down on it.

Another way to phrase it: Earlier in January, during the funeral of the late former president Jimmy Carter (who passed away on December 29 at the age of 100), Bush too had a memorable incident. Upon greeting his successor Barack Obama with a cordial tap on the stomach, the internet buzzed with affectionate memes that showcased the touching interaction.

Instead of traditionally attending the inauguration of the new leader, Michelle Obama decided to forgo accompanying her husband to Washington D.C. She chose to focus on Martin Luther King Jr.’s holiday, which fell on the same day as the presidential ceremony, as expressed in a social media post.

The legacy of service demonstrated by Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. continues to motivate me,” the former First Lady expressed on Instagram, January 20th. “On this #MLKDay, I invite you all to join me and @WhenWeAllVote in commemorating Dr. King’s life and legacy by participating in your local community.

The caption had a picture of the late civil rights advocate along with one of his well-known phrases, which said, “There’s never a bad moment for doing what’s morally correct.

Christopher Macchio, an accomplished opera tenor, was chosen to perform the National Anthem. He shared with the Associated Press his anticipation for the event: “I was excited about seeing 100,000 people gathered on the National Mall,” he stated. Regrettably, he won’t have that visual experience while performing, but he emphasized it would still be an incredibly humbling honor.
