For certain Pokemon enthusiasts, the game experience revolves around tracking down Shiny Pokemon. While filling up a Pokedex is an achievement, completing a Shiny dex presents an even tougher goal that many fans find appealing. However, hunting for Shinies isn’t straightforward, especially when it comes to rare and Legendary Pokemon, some of which don’t have Shiny forms at all. But now, another Shiny Legendary Pokemon can be added to the collection due to a new Shiny distribution in Pokemon Home. Now, Shiny Manaphy and, for the first time ever, Shiny Enamorous can be obtained through the app.
Pokemon Home serves as a storage center for Pokemon collected during a player’s adventure in both main series and spin-off games. Once a Pokemon is stored in the player’s Home database, it can be moved to other games, including the latest main series releases, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This means that receiving Shiny Pokemon from within the game offers an exciting choice for players, as they decide where their newly acquired Shiny legendary Pokemon will reside.
Obtaining Pokémon through the Home app is a relatively recent change, initiating in October 2024 with the distribution of the Shiny Meloetta upon completion of the Pokedexes for Scarlet and Violet. To acquire this Pokémon within Home, one needed to finish all three regional dexes for Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Academy. Acquiring the newly introduced Shiny Legendary Pokémons, however, should prove slightly less challenging.
How to Get Shiny Manaphy and Shiny Enamorus in Pokemon Home
How can Pokemon enthusiasts collect Shiny Manaphy and Shiny Enamorus for their Pokemon Home inventory? These free Mystery Gift creatures have specific conditions, which span several games. To get both, players will require a copy of either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Pokemon Shining Pearl, as well as Pokemon Legends: Arceus. They will also need to own Pokemon Home.
If you haven’t got Pokemon Home yet, you can obtain it in a few ways: it’s available for free on the Nintendo eShop if you have a Nintendo Switch, or as a mobile application from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To transfer your Pokemon between games and verify your Pokedex completion for the free distributions, you will need to link your Nintendo Account.
To obtain the Shiny Manaphy in Pokemon Home, trainers must first complete their National Pokedex in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Fortunately, there’s no time limit for this distribution, allowing plenty of opportunity to catch all the Pokemon and claim your reward. Once you meet the criteria, a free Shiny Manaphy will be available in Pokemon Home. This special Manaphy will be Level 50 and its moveset is as follows:
1. Psychic
2. Hidden Power
3. Mirror Move
4. Hyper Voice
5. Misty Terrain (Egg Move)
- Bubble Beam
- Acid Armor
- Whirlpool
- Water Pulse
Hey fellow gamers! Here’s some thrilling news if you’re a Pokémon Legends: Arceus player like me. The elusive Shiny Enamorus, a Legendary never seen before in its shiny form, is now up for grabs! But, to add one to your collection, you’ve got to dust off those memory banks and revisit the history of Hisui in this game. Completing the Pokedex in Hisui will unlock the free Shiny Enamorus reward. No rush though, there’s no deadline for completing the task and claiming your prize. Just like Shiny Manaphy, Shiny Enamorus will be level 50 when it arrives. And get ready for its moveset: [Moves go here]. Enjoy the hunt!
- Draining Kiss
- Extrasensory
- Crunch
- Moonblast
Excitedly speaking as a fellow Pokémon enthusiast, once these Pokémons become accessible through your Pokémon Home app, you’ll have the freedom to move them to any game that suits your fancy! Fortunately, Manaphy and Enamorus are among the candidates that can be transported to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This means that if you’re engaging in Raids or Player versus Player (PvP) battles within this game, you could potentially expand your team with these exciting new additions!
For trainers who don’t usually prioritize collecting Shinies, the added motivation of revisiting past Pokédexes offers an engaging activity to keep us busy until the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A this year.
