What Is Hellboy: The Crooked Man About?

In the movie titled “Hellboy: The Crooked Man”, the protagonist Hellboy, accompanied by a novice BPRD agent, finds themselves in a 1950s rural Appalachian town that is mysteriously plagued by witches. At the helm of these witches is the Crooked Man, a local demon with an unsettling past link to Hellboy himself. The film stars Jack Kesy as the Crooked Man. Alongside him, Jefferson White, Adeline Rudolph, Joseph Marcell, Leah McNamara, Hannah Margetson, and Martin Bassindale will also appear. “Hellboy: The Crooked Man” is produced by Millennium Films and distributed by Ketchup Entertainment. Taylor, Mignola, and Christopher Golden collaborated on the scriptwriting process.

[What I found most delightful was] the way the film mirrored the comics. There are numerous scenes that are direct panels from the comics, which often raises concerns when one says it’s their preferred storyline, fearing it might lose something.” Mignola shared this with Screen Rant at San Diego Comic-Con. “However, all my cherished moments from the comic book are present. While watching, I held my breath in anticipation. Incredibly, I was able to watch, I didn’t visit the set, but I saw daily footage, and I kept thinking, ‘I can’t believe this! Oh my goodness, you managed to include it and will it remain in the film when they edit it?’

Hellboy: The Crooked Man will be released on September 27th.
