There’s no show we’d rather see than “Born with Teeth,” where Doctor Who’s Ncuti Gatwa portrays playwright Christopher Marlowe, and Killing Eve’s Edward Bluemel steps into the shoes of William Shakespeare. Count us in!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been offering an exciting array of new theatre shows for sale, such as All My Sons, Punch, Our Town, Inside No. 9: Stage/Fright, and Born with Teeth tickets.
This upcoming play titled “Born with Teeth” is a fresh creation by the producers Playful Productions, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Elizabeth Williams. The debut performance will take place in the West End for a restricted 11-week run starting from the 13th of August this year.
In this play, penned by U.S. playwright Liz Duffy Adams, we delve into a fictional portrayal of the dynamic between two prominent figures in literature history (Shakespeare and Marlowe), whose lives were marked by conflict with the times they lived in.
In an interview about the production, Sex Education actor Ncuti Gatwa expressed his enthusiasm: “I’m thrilled to be working with Edward Bluemel in Born with Teeth. Liz Duffy Adams has penned a remarkable play that is both clever and edgy, filled with humor and sexuality. It offers a rich tapestry of ideas, unlike any Shakespeare or Marlowe I’ve encountered before. I can hardly wait for the audience to embark on this journey with us!
