Get Ready for the Bizarre Adventure of Esophaguys on PS5!

We caught this new game trailer on PlayStation’s YouTube channel, and had to share.

The game is called “Esophagus,” and it’s a unique indie title that offers a 2D action platforming experience for as many as four players.

As an old-timer, I find myself possessing an enigmatic talent – elongating my neck and clamping onto surroundings with my pearly whites. This unique skill allows me to traverse levels much like a haunted web-slinger, swinging from one point to another.

In a cooperative gameplay setting, players can seize one another and hurl them across chasms, or interlink themselves to form impromptu bridges – essentially performing actions like these.

In this game, you can experience a solo storyline adventure, also featuring cooperative play as mentioned earlier. Additionally, there are mini-games for competitive play, and if you’re up for a challenge, there’s a mode called Masochist which will put your platforming skills to the ultimate test.

An interesting detail is that the entire soundtrack consists of Jew’s harp melodies from various parts of the globe. Additionally, all the sound effects in the game are derived from human vocals, boasting a staggering 3,000 different sounds that were meticulously recorded for this purpose.

Despite its unusual nature, we’re ready to take a risk and express that this game seems promisingly entertaining. It’s slated for launch on PlayStation 5 in Spring 2025, and you can add it to your wishlist right away.
