In preparation for the grand event, the developer has unveiled the Road to Unova in Pokemon Go, commencing on Monday, February 24th at 10 a.m., local time, and lasting until the start of Pokemon Go Tour. During this prelude period, players will notice Pokemon from the Unova region appearing more frequently in the wild, during Raids, and through Field Research tasks. Additionally, the game will introduce new avatar items, stickers, and chances to encounter Mythical Pokemon.
During the Road to Unova event, several perks are in store for all participants. The maximum number of Remote Raids will be boosted to 20 per week, with no upper limit during Go Tour: Unova. Additionally, hatch distances for eggs inside Incubators will be reduced by half. Free Timed Research tasks will be available, and you’ll have the opportunity to encounter Pokémon like Terrakion, Cobalion, Virizion, Genesect, as well as the Therian forms of Tornadus, Thunderus, and Landorus.
During the Pokemon Go Tour: Unova, Niantic is introducing a new Tour Pass feature that’s free for all players. This special progression track will only be available temporarily and lets you unlock rewards by accomplishing certain tasks and gathering Tour Points. During the Road to Unova event, we’ll sell two additional research passes priced at $4.99 each. The “Road to Unova: Raids” pass focuses on timed research related to Raid Battles, while the “Road to Unova: Hatch” pass centers around hatching Eggs. Each pass offers unique rewards, such as avatar items.
During this upcoming event, Pokemon Go is planning some modifications. Players can anticipate a revamp of the Pokedex, making it simpler for them to explore and discover Pokemon they haven’t caught yet.
