No lies—you can soon get up close and personal with the stars of Poker Face.
On May 1st, experience the Los Angeles premiere of the second season of the Peacock crime dramedy alongside TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi and Erin Lim Rhodes. Besides lead actress Natasha Lyonne and series creator Rian Johnson, noteworthy guest stars like Justin Theroux, Katie Holmes, B.J. Novak, John Mulaney, and Cynthia Erivo will be present to celebrate the event. This grand occasion begins at 7 p.m. PT on TopMob’s Poker Face Season Two Premiere livestream.
In the gripping TV series “Poker Face,” debuting in 2023, I step into the shoes of Charlie Cale – a casino worker with an extraordinary gift: I can sense when someone’s not telling the truth. This talent has led me to solve murders and other crimes across the country. In the second season, my journey takes me back on the road, evading crime bosses hot on my heels as I continue to unravel mysteries.
In the interview with Parade, published on April 23, Lyonne stated that the character is much like many historically male characters in terms of her actions. She’s embarking on a journey across America, evading the law, and her friend is responsible for the predicament she finds herself in. However, this time around, we get to see more of her story in Season 2.
A teaser for season two of Poker Face previews some of its star-studded cast, such as Theroux, Holmes, Erivo (who adopts an American accent, similar to her portrayal in the Wicked movies), and Mulaney, who can be seen questioning, “Who on earth are you?” while looking through a pair of binoculars.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that renowned actors such as Awkwafina, Rhea Perlman, John Cho, Simon Helberg, Giancarlo Esposito, Carol Kane, and my fellow actress from “Orange is the New Black,” Taylor Schilling, are also part of this production.
The main event takes place the day following the announcement of a unique New York City pop-up. This special setup changes the final gas station in downtown Manhattan into “Charlie’s Back on Her BLSH*T Rest Stop,” a restaurant and gathering spot modeled after the show.
The second season of “Poker Face” starts airing from May 8th, with a triple episode premiere, and subsequent episodes will be available each week on Thursdays exclusively on Peacock.
