Get Ready! Lilo & Stitch 4K Blu-ray Drops Just Before Live-Action Film Release!

2002’s beloved animated film Lilo & Stitch from Disney is now available in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray / Digital format, and you don’t need to wait for 626 Day to grab a copy! As the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie releases on May 23rd, Disney encourages fans to rewatch the original film in this sparkling new edition before heading to the cinema for the latest installment. Pre-orders are not yet available, but they will be up soon on Amazon and Walmart, with a release date scheduled for May 6th. The 4K Blu-ray release of Disney’s Lilo & Stitch will offer bonus features such as previously cut scenes, additional Elvis songs, and a special segment exploring possible appearances of Stitch in other classic Disney movies.

Keep in mind that starting from May 6th, you can watch Lilo & Stitch in stunning 4K on a digital platform. Until the new film and 4K version become available, it could be worth taking a look at the recently released LEGO Lilo & Stitch Beach House set, which came out in March.

In the upcoming live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch, there’s a strong possibility it could outshine other Disney live-action remakes due to its modest budget and emphasis on simplicity. The plot revolves around a heartwarming tale about a solitary Hawaiian girl and an alien fugitive who aid each other in healing a fractured family. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, known for his Oscar-nominated film “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On,” it stars Maia Kealoha, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis. Lilo & Stitch is produced by Jonathan Eirich and Dan Lin, with Tom Peitzman and Ryan Halprin serving as executive producers.
