Enthusiasts looking forward to diving back into Hirukuma’s captivating fantasy realm won’t have a long wait ahead. The release date for the second season has been announced on Crunchyroll, set for July 2nd at 10pm JST.
It will also air, as expected, on Crunchyroll with Japanese dub and English subtitles.
In this new world, the narrative revolves around Boxxo, initially an otaku, now reborn as a conscious vending machine after being flattened by a tumbling vending machine in another life.
Regrettably, Boxxo can only utter pre-set expressions, yet he remains helpful and beneficial to the various characters he encounters during his journey.
In this realm, I come across a figure named Lammis – robust yet innocent, seemingly oblivious to the depth of her abilities. Providing sustenance for her survival, we form an alliance. Together, we embark on an adventure through the enchanting labyrinthine world, confronting its challenges hand in hand.
The initial season of this show garnered positive responses upon its premiere on Crunchyroll in July 2023, primarily because of its distinctive approach to the isekai genre and the intriguing connection between characters Boxxo and Lammis.
Although it might initially appear unusual, what truly sets this anime apart is its deeply compelling character development. As a passionate fan, I can’t help but be captivated by how each character comes to life, their complexities and nuances shining through with every episode.
The date for season 2’s premiere was announced along with a fresh image, which you can view on X, previously known as Twitter, in addition to the announcement of new cast members: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Hebui, Rie Takahashi as Kikoyu, and Kotomi Aihara stepping into the role of Hulemy (replacing Shiki Aoki).
Together with the announcement of the release date, a fresh trailer emerged, showcasing the primary actors along with some novel situations and characters they’ll encounter during the second season.
