Finally, season 3 of The Rings of Power has been confirmed, with filming set to start very soon.
Last fall saw the airing of the second season for the Lord of the Rings spin-off series, and the final episode ended in such a way that it hints at potential continuation.
According to Vernon Sanders, who oversees television production at Amazon MGM Studios, “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has kept viewers spellbound globally, and we’re delighted that preparations for a third season are already in motion.

We’re excited to carry on this grand adventure further, exploring more intricate stories from Middle-earth, for our worldwide audience.
As reported by Deadline, the upcoming season has already moved into its preparatory stage, with filming scheduled to start this coming spring.
For the upcoming season 3, it has been confirmed that Charlotte Brändström will resume her role as both an executive producer and director. Joining her in these roles is returning director Sanaa Hamri. Additionally, director Stefan Schwartz is set to be a new addition to the series.
In the final episode of season 2, Charlie Vickers’s character, Sauron, inflicted gruesome deaths. In response, the Elves chose to bring the fight directly to him.
We also learnt the true identity of Daniel Weyman’s The Stranger.
