As a die-hard fan of Tanjiro’s demon-slaying saga, I can’t hide my excitement about the upcoming Demon Slayer movie titled “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle“. This new film promises to be an emotional farewell to our beloved characters and series, wrapping up the final chapter of the manga. At CCXP 2024, a global comic and entertainment extravaganza, they unveiled the first trailer for this movie, but so far, details have been scarce, with only a tentative 2025 release date confirmed.
Fans of Demon Slayer can anticipate a fresh video game next year! SEGA has confirmed that “Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2” will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe in 2025. Although specifics about the gameplay are scarce, SEGA has shared some highlights of the sequel’s unique features, with the introduction of a new Story Mode being one of them. In this mode, players will continue from where the first Hinokami Chronicles game ended, delving into the Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village, and Hashira Training Arcs depicted in the anime since its initial season.
In addition to more than 40 characters available for play in the VS Mode, some beloved Hashira characters like Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, and Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, will also be included. The original game content, player characters, and future DLC expansions will all be playable too. Notably, each of the nine Hashira will also be fully playable in the game.
With the anime about to wrap up shortly, it’s comforting to know that we can savor the remaining episodes for a while longer. Fans are looking forward to experiencing the concluding part of the series, as well as when the movie debuts. The year 2025 promises to be quite significant!
