As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the announcement of “Ghost of Yōtei” has truly stirred my excitement. Having been captivated by the enchanting world and immersive storyline of “Ghost of Tsushima,” I eagerly await the opportunity to embark on another adventure in this stunning open-world setting, especially considering that it’s set 300 years later.
2024 seems to be a quiet year for Sony’s major narrative-driven AAA series on PlayStation, but 2025 appears to be shaping up as an exciting one in this regard, and it’s largely due to the upcoming release of “Ghost of Yōtei,” the sequel to “Ghost of Tsushima,” which is slated for next year. Now, roughly a month after its official unveiling, it looks like we can add “Ghost of Yōtei” to our wishlists.
As a thrilled fan, I’m excited to share that Sucker Punch Studios has confirmed on Twitter that we can now add their upcoming action-adventure game to our wishlists on the PlayStation Store! While we don’t have an exact release date yet in 2025, keeping it on our wishlist will ensure we’re among the first to know when it becomes available.
300 years following the events of “Ghost of Tsushima,” we find ourselves in a fresh setting – the Ezo region surrounding Mount Yōtei, where the game is set. The protagonist in this new tale is Atsu, and Sucker Punch promises a greater degree of control for players as they navigate the story’s progression.
