On October 2, the game titled “Ghost of Yotei” is set to debut on PlayStation 5, as confirmed by its publishers, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and developers, Sucker Punch Productions. Pre-ordering for this exciting title will become available starting May 2.

The Onryo’s List
Today, we’ve not only shared current updates, but also unveiled our fresh trailer for the supernatural thriller titled “Ghost of Yotei, ‘The Onryo’s List.’ In the past, deep within ancient Ezo (now known as Hokkaido), a group of ruthless outlaws called the Yotei Six stripped Atsu of everything. They slaughtered her family, left her for dead, impaled on a blazing ginkgo tree outside their home. However, Atsu lived. She mastered combat, assassination, and hunting skills, and after many years, she has come back to reclaim what was taken from her. With a list of six names in hand: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito, Atsu seeks retribution for the unforgivable wrongs committed against her.
Gradually, she’s tracking them down, one by one, seeking vengeance for her family. The very katana that was once used to impale her near the burning tree is now her weapon. However, Atsu’s narrative doesn’t start and end with revenge. As she ventures through Ezo, Atsu encounters unforeseen allies and forms bonds that provide a fresh perspective on her mission.
In today’s trailer, we aim to offer a tantalizing peek into the world of Ghost of Yotei. Apart from introducing you to the Yotei Six, you’ll also catch glimpses of the breathtaking landscapes of Ezo. Additionally, you’ll notice some of Atsu’s freshly crafted weapons, a few companions, and even a novel gameplay feature that sheds light on Atsu’s past and helps you comprehend what was lost from her life.
In Ghost of Yotei, we’ve expanded upon and advanced the way you traverse the open world, providing even greater freedom and diversity than in Ghost of Tsushima. You’ll decide which paths to take as you choose which member of the Yotei Six to pursue first. Atsu can also track harmful targets and collect bounties, or search for weapon masters to learn new abilities. Ezo is untamed, both deadly and breathtakingly beautiful. As you traverse the open world, you’ll encounter unforeseen perils and tranquil retreats (including some familiar activities from Tsushima), and you’ll be able to light a campfire anywhere in the open world for a peaceful respite under the night sky. We aim to let you explore Ezo freely, according to your own choices, and we can’t wait to reveal more!
Pre-Orders
Starting next week, on May 2nd at 10:00 a.m., which is your local time (10:00 a.m. Eastern Time for U.S. residents), we are excited to announce that pre-orders for the intriguing title Ghost of Yotei will be available! You’ll have the opportunity to pick from various editions, including our spectacular Collector’s Edition.
Initially, by reserving any version of Ghost of Yotei, you’ll be granted an exclusive in-game mask, along with a collection of seven PlayStation Network avatars showcasing Atsu and each character from the Yotei Six at launch. Avatars for pre-orders on PlayStation Store will be accessible straight away.
Standard Edition
In plain English, the regular version of “Ghost of Yotei” will retail for $69.99 USD, £69.99, €79.99, or ¥8,980 ( Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price ). You can purchase it from physical stores or through the PlayStation Store online.
Digital Deluxe Edition
At the PlayStation Store, you can secure your pre-order for the “Ghost of Yotei” Digital Deluxe Edition, which retails at $79.99, £79.99, €89.99 or ¥9,980 (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price).
The Digital Deluxe Version offers you a digital version of the game “Ghost of Yotei” along with additional in-game perks such as:
1. The Snake’s armor set.
2. An alternate color for your initial armor.
3. A special horse color that is exclusive to this edition, along with a unique saddle dye.
4. An in-game Charm.
5. A gold Sword Kit.
6. Early access to Traveler’s Maps, which enable you to locate statues scattered across the game world and enhance your abilities by upgrading your skills.
Collector’s Edition
Ultimately, we can’t wait to unveil the “Ghost of Yotei” Collector’s Edition, which you’ll soon have the chance to pre-order on PlayStation Direct (where available) or from selected retailers in other regions. The price for the Collector’s Edition will be disclosed at a later time.
In this special edition, you’ll find all the pre-order perks, all additional items from the Deluxe Digital Edition, a digital version of the game itself, and a miniature replica of Atsu’s Ghost mask – which is modeled after Jin’s mask in our Ghost of Tsushima Collector’s Edition. If you own both masks, they make an impressive pair on your shelf! The mask measures approximately 6.8 x 5 x 5.9 inches, is crafted from resin, and comes with its own display stand.
Additionally, there’s an identical version of Atsu’s sash provided, featuring the names of the Yotei Six members (though you’ll need to black them out yourself). This sash stretches 71 inches in length and is crafted from a cotton blend, making it ideal for cosplay or as a unique wall adornment.
Additionally, you’ll find a duplicate of the Tsuba from Atsu’s sword, crafted by her father in the likeness of two playful wolves. This Tsuba is approximately 3 x 3 inches in size and comes with a dedicated display stand as well.
Besides everything mentioned earlier, the Collector’s Edition of the “Ghost of Yotei” comes equipped with:
1. A guide to play Zeni Hajiki, a challenging game that you can enjoy as you progress through “Ghost of Yotei”.
2. A pouch containing coins for use in this skill-based game.
3. An intricate foldable papercraft ginkgo tree with a wolf at its base, adding an authentic touch to your collection.
4. A set of four 5 x 7-inch art cards showcasing the sash, the wolf, Atsu’s Ghost mask, and our game’s key artwork.
