In its newest preview, the spirit of Yōtei showcases a blend of recognizable features, including swift battle sequences and movement (reintroducing the grappling hook). As players assume the role of Atsu, they set out on a quest to vanquish the Yōtei Six: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.
In addition, she’ll find herself forming ties with unexpected partners and gaining fresh motivation as a result, according to the PlayStation Blog. This also verifies that the scene in the trailer where Atsu travels back in time is indeed a novel gameplay feature.
Changes made include pursuing leads for the Yōtei Six, with a focus on deciding which one to defeat first. Atsu may also encounter various masters to learn new weapon abilities, accept missions, and discover “tranquil escapes,” some borrowed from the game “Ghost of Tsushima.
Beyond these features, you’ll have the freedom to light a campfire virtually anywhere, much like in Red Dead Redemption. As for additional activities such as cooking, we’ll see if they are incorporated for Atsu to enjoy – stay tuned!
