Ghost Rider's MCU Debut Teased in New Concept Art

As a seasoned gamer with decades of comic book lore under my belt, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia upon seeing the concept art of Ghost Rider joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Deadpool and Wolverine. The prospect of Nic Cage reprising his role as the Spirit of Vengeance has been tantalizingly close for years, and the idea of him sharing the screen with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool is a dream come true for many fans.

It seemed almost inevitable that Ghost Rider would join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, given Ryan Reynolds’ revelation about discussing a role with Nicolas Cage for a potential appearance alongside Blade (Wesley Snipes), Elektra (Jennifer Garner), and Gambit (Channing Tatum) in a hypothetical “Deadpool & Wolverine” project. Recently, concept art depicting what such an appearance might have looked like has surfaced online.

On Monday, visual development artist Rodney Fuentebella posted an image showing the Ghost of Vengeance joining forces with Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), along with other characters, as they take on the Deadpool Corps in battle.

As a long-time fan of both comic books and cinema, I must say that the concept art for ‘DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE’ featuring Ben Affleck’s Daredevil and Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider has piqued my interest significantly. Having grown up reading these characters in their respective titles, I can only imagine how exciting it would be to see them join forces on the silver screen. The idea of these two iconic figures teaming up is not only intriguing but also a testament to the rich tapestry of the Marvel universe. If executed well, this collaboration could result in an unforgettable cinematic experience for fans like myself who have followed their adventures throughout the years. Here’s hoping that ‘DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE’ delivers on its promise and brings these characters to life in a way that honors their storied histories and resonates with new audiences alike.

Will Nic Cage ever return as Ghost Rider?

As a gamer, I’ve often expressed my feelings that I’ve hung up my “Spirit of Vengeance” helmet for good. Back in 2013, I felt like I had given all I could with that character. Fast forward to 2022, and Marvel still hasn’t reached out to me for a reunion with the franchise.

Cage clarified he hasn’t had conversations with Kevin Feige from Marvel regarding their respective works. Interestingly enough, nobody has asked him to return for another round as Ghost Rider, but instead, they inquired about his thoughts on the Marvel films in general, which he gladly shared.
