It appears that nearly every sneaker brand is teaming up with pop culture icons these days, but none are quite as bold as the Ghostbusters designs. The lineup includes neon green Slimer sneakers embellished with rubber food charms like burgers, hot dogs, and pizzas, a high-top design of the ghostbusters uniforms that have been slimed, complete with interchangeable name tags for Venkman, Stantz, Zeddemore, and Spengler, and a Stay Puft high-top sneaker that looks like you’ve accidentally stepped on the Marshmallow Man and he’s stuck to your foot.
These officially licensed Ghostbusters shoes are reasonably priced between $49.99 and $59.99 per pair. You can purchase them exclusively at Fun.com in adult sizes. Noteworthy, Fun also creates intricate shoe designs for fans of Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Pokemon, and other popular franchises. Explore the entire collection by clicking here.
This version maintains the original’s clarity and readability while using slightly different wording to avoid repetition.
Will Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Get a Sequel?
There’s been talk about making another Ghostbusters movie since the recent sequels have brought back the famous characters and concepts for new audiences. But after Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire didn’t do as well at the box office, it seemed like the next Ghostbusters film might not happen. However, director Gil Kenan recently spoke to The Direct about the possibility of another Ghostbusters movie.
Kenan shared with The Direct that they will indeed carry on the discussion of creating epic Ghostbusters tales for the cinema. Jason [Reitman] and the team take their role as custodians of Ghostbusters‘ legacy seriously, promising to share more exciting news about big-screen Ghostbuster stories in the future. Stay tuned!
If a follow-up occurs, it might be some time before we see it. As recently as last November, Carrie Coon hadn’t been approached to resume her character, Callie Spengler. In an interview with ComicBook, she stated, “I haven’t [received a script yet]. The running gag is that Callie succumbed to alcoholism and returns as a pesky spirit. However, I think they’re likely to steer clear of that path.
As a die-hard fan, I’m eagerly following the shift in focus for Reitman and Kenan towards their upcoming Netflix’s Ghostbusters animated series. With the recent surge of Funko Pops based on The Real Ghostbusters, it’s safe to say that this new project is sure to capture the attention of many enthusiasts like myself. At the moment, details about this series are scarce, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed and staying tuned for any updates on Ghostbusters news as they surface.
